10 Days Uganda Rwanda Group Tour – Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Murchison Falls NP, tour Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route
Settle for breakfast at your place of stay in Kampala/Entebbe and depart at 6:30 am for Murchison Falls National Park Uganda to Uganda’s North West. You drive 311km about 5 hours’ drive excluding stops en route.
A stop will be made at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking exploring the only population of Southern White Rhinos in Uganda and this last for 2 hours after which you enjoy lunch at Kabalega dinner and proceed to the park enjoying the views of Masindi town and Budongo Forest Reserve arriving at the lodge for relaxation, dinner overnight.

Day 2: Undertake morning game drive in northern Murchison Falls NP, afternoon Nile launch cruise & hike to the top of the falls
You cross with the 7 am ferry if you slept in the south or start the game drive at 6:30 am if you slept in the north and inside the park gaining rich possibilities of spotting Elephants, Rothschild Giraffes, Lion, Buffalo, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Leopard, Oribis, Kobs, waterbucks among others.
The activity lasts 3 – 4 hours and at 2 pm, the Nile launch cruise departs at Paraa Jetty to the bottom of the falls cruising on the world’s longest river.
Upon arrival at the bottom of the falls, you embark on the hike to the top of the world’s most powerful waterfall enjoying the incredible views of the Nile River as it forces itself to make way through a less than 7m ravine after which it falls 43m below to the Devil’s Cauldron generating a plume of spray with a thunderous roar and a trademark rainbow.
Meet your guide at the top of the falls and transfer to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park and explore the views of the countryside
Depart the lodge with lunch box and transfer to Kibale National Park 366km about 8 hours’ drive enjoying the views of the countryside landscapes.

Day 4: Undertake Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park & drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Sightseeing of Rwenzori Mountains en route
Settle for breakfast at 7 am and connect to Kanyanchu tourism centre for briefing at 8 am after which you engage in the 2 – 5 forest trek in search of Chimpanzees. Kibale National Park Uganda is a rich bio-diverse destination with great flora including flowering plants, tall and mature trees some of which are medicinal and others are favourites to wild animals, 375 species of birds not forgetting 13 primate species.
The one hour with Chimpanzees is a memorable one as you explore them to feed, patrol, fight, mate, play, and display their jumping skills among other interesting features as you take amazing photoshoots. From the activity, you enjoy lunch and later visit Bigodi wetland and Community for a rewarding ecotourism experience.
Retreat from the activity and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 157km about 3 hours’ drive exploring the views of Rwenzori Mountains en route.

Day 5: Do Morning game drive in Kasenyi Sector, afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise & evening game drive along the channel track
Settle for breakfast before setting off for game drive at 7 am. Kasenyi sector is the main area of interest and offers good possibilities for spotting Lions, Elephants, Leopard, Topi, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs, spotted hyenas, Buffaloes among others. The game drive lasts 3 – 4 hours after which you drive to Mweya peninsular for hot lunch.
You will sign up for the 2 pm Kazinga Channel boat cruise for a two-hour experience along this amazing natural channel with possibilities of viewing Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, birds on the shores like Saddle-billed stork, African skimmers and many more not forgetting the wild game.
Upon return from the boat, you do a game drive along the channel track as you head back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 6: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Do Ishasha game drive en route in search of tree climbing lions
Settle for breakfast at 7 am after which you drive south to Bwindi Forest National Park 218km to Ruhija and a game drive will be done en route in the Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions and other wildlife. Proceed to Bwindi arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and overnight

Day 7: Do Mountain Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable NP & spend the evening at Lake Bunyonyi – the Lake of a thousand Islands for sightseeing, relaxation, and canoe ride
Mountain Gorillas are known to thrive only in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Uganda in Uganda and the Greater Virunga massif shared by Uganda Rwanda and Congo. With their population estimated at 1004, Bwindi alone has a minimum of 400 Mountain Gorillas and thus best placed for a gorilla trekking adventure.
The Uganda gorilla trekking safari briefing starts at 8 am after the armed park rangers lead you to this amazing dense forest hiking up and down the steep slopes intercepted by narrow valleys amidst the enchanting bird songs and lush flora.
The Uganda gorilla trekking duration lasts 2 – 8 hours but the actual viewing is limited to one hour for purposes of Conservation and it is an incredible moment viewing them as they forage and socialize while taking good photoshoots.
From the activity, you transfer to Lake Bunyonyi enjoying nice views of Kigezi Highlands dubbed the Switzerland of Africa and spend the evening at leisure enjoying the views of this amazing lake with a count of 29 Islands.
