Arrive in Antananarivo, meet our representative & transfer to the hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Andasibe and upon arrival engage in a hike within Mitsinjo Private Reserve and later in the evening, take up a scheduled night walk to explore nocturnal active animals.
After some ride on a bumpy road, you will reach Mantadia Reserve, home to other species of lemurs, birds, and chameleons. This 4-hour hike is rather challenging but worth-it to explore the primary rainforest of Mantadia National Park. You will seek Diademed sifaka, Black-and-white ruffed lemurs, the insectivorous tenrecs, and the rainforest-dependent ground rollers. In the afternoon, you will spot lemurs closely at the Lemurs’ Island.
Earlier in the morning, hike inside Analamazaotra Nature Reserve (another part of Périnet) to spot the largest of all lemurs, called “Indri indri” with other animals and medicinal plants. After the visit, drive back to the capital city of Antananarivo. On the way, visit of Peyrieras’ reptile farm at Mandraka.
Today, you will take the flight to Diego for 1h30 mn approximately. Upon your arrival, your tour guide will meet you at the airport. Your Madagascar experience will continue in the far north of the island with rest and relaxation by the beach at Sakalava Bay. Time to enjoy the wilderness and nature in its pure beauty. In this part, you will already see two species of Baobab trees. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, you can have a walk to the surrounding wild areas and enjoy the calm.
Today is time to get closer to nature in the dense rainforest of the Amber Mountain National Park. Several circuits are provided in which you can choose according to your physical conditions. You can have refreshing breaks by beautiful waterfalls.
This day, you will head southwards to the red Tsingy first and then to Ankarana National Park. A day also to enjoy different landscapes: luxuriant vegetation to the grassy valley and green rice fields. The Antakarana, masters of this area, are also famous zebu farmers.
After lunch, you will have a leisurely hike inside the Tsingy and through its caves to observe this unique rock formation, caves, and its biodiversity and flora. Above its wildlife (birds, lemurs, and reptiles), the Tsingy is also an ancestral worshiping place for the Antakarana tribe.
After a leisurely breakfast at the Lodge, you will head southwards to Ankify. On the way, you will visit vanilla, pepper, and cacao plantations. This very exotic part of Madagascar is very fertile and allows many types of spices to grow abundantly. Upon your arrival in Ankify, you will be transferred to Nosy Be Island by boat. The rest of the day will be at leisure.
Day at leisure by the beach. Possibility of scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, among others or just relaxing.
The morning will be at leisure. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport and will fly back to Antananarivo. Relax at Hotel upon arrival.
Depending on the flight time, you visit the Ambohimanga Palace, classified as a UNESCO world- heritage site, the Queen’s palace along with the old palace of Prime Minister Rainilaiarivony who married the three Queens before the Airport drops off. The Dique handcraft market is en route to the Airport and you can stop for a souvenir.
