Day 1: Transfer To Murchison Falls NP. Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary En Route.

Your 13-day Uganda safari tour begins at 7:00 am with a pickup from your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala. You then embark on a 311km/6 hour drive northwest to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s biggest national park and a prime destination for wildlife safaris.

Along the way, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking rhinos on foot. Ziwa is home to the only wild Rhinos in Uganda. You go on 2 hours guided trek to find rhinos. After the rhino tracking adventure, enjoy lunch at Kabalega Dinner before continuing to Murchison Falls NP for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Trip To The Bottom Of Murchison Falls.

Have breakfast at 6 am and then go for a 4-hour morning game drive in the beautiful savannah of Murchison Falls NP. Look out for a variety of animals such as elephants, buffalos, Giraffes, Leopards, Hyenas, Warthogs, antelopes, etc…

After the game drive, return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. At 2 pm, enjoy a relaxing 3-hour boat cruise on the Mighty Nile River to the bottom of the spectacular Murchison Falls. Cruise past vast pods of hippos, massive Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, and numerous waterbirds.

Day 3: Private Nile Delta Boat Cruise With Bush Breakfast & An Evening Game Drive

Wake up at 7 am and go for a 5-hour boat cruise from Paraa to the delta area where the Nile enters Lake Albert. The delta is home to a wide variety of waterbird species, but the ultimate prize is sighting the iconic shoebill. Sightings of this rare bird, which resembles something from the dinosaur era, are great in this area.

You will also explore the area’s stunning scenery, numerous hippos, enormous crocodiles, and elephants.  Among the highlights of the trip will be a stop along the riverbank for a delicious bush breakfast made by your private chef. Day 4: Visit The Top Of Murchison Falls & Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park.

After breakfast at 8 am, drive to the top of Murchison Falls to view the world’s strongest waterfalls from a different perspective. After witnessing the stunning falls, travel south to Kibale National Park.

You’ll drive via the Albertine Escarpment, traditional farms, and rural Ugandan villages. You have a lunch break in Fort Portal town after which you to Kibale National Park. The park is renowned for having the highest primate density and diversity of primates in Africa, as well as a variety of forest bird species.

Day 11 of your 13 days Uganda safari tour, starts with a good breakfast at 6 am. Then transfer to Kibale National Park for your chimpanzee trekking adventure.

Meet the park guides by 7 am at the park office for a briefing, after which you set off into the forest to track a community of habituated chimps. You have a rare chance to see chimps in their natural habitat instead of in a zoo. Kibale has over 1500 wild chimpanzees and is the prime destination for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda as it offers about 97% chances to see them.

You’ll spend 1 hour with them and return to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, go for the Bigodi village walk. Spend time with the friendly local people learning about their ways of life, making local banana beer, banana juice, waragi gin, plus much more. After breakfast at around 8 am, check out of the lodge, and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP, Uganda’s premier conservation area. It will be a scenic 2-3 hour drive via Kasese. You even make a stop in Kasese for a village walk in Ruboni Community in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains to experience the way of life of the Bakonzo tribe. You meet the village blacksmith, the medicine man, the storyteller, women crafts makers, and farmers.

Proceed to Queen for lunch and relaxation. After lunch, enjoy a game drive in the park. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s beautiful lakes, rolling savannah, emerald forests, and fertile swamps make it a haven for over 95 species of mammals. The park is home to an incredible 611 species of birds and rare tree-climbing lions.

Have breakfast at 7 am and then embark on a 3 hours Crater Lake drive. Follow a scenic route around the rims of extinct volcanic explosion craters filled, variously, with lakes, forests, and grassland. Explore the salt mines of Lake Katwe where a local community has been manually extracting salt by hand for centuries. Continue on the drive to the baboon cliff to view a variety of animals.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, go for a coffee tour around Kyambura to explore the transformation of the coffee bean into delicious Ugandan coffee. The process is all done by hand, by local community members. You can even sample or buy some coffee to take home as a souvenir.

Day 9: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. En-Route Game Drive In Ishasha In Search Of Tree-Climbing Lions.

Day 9 of this 13 days Uganda safari tour starts with an early breakfast at 7 am. Then check out of the lodge and depart for Bwindi. Drive through the southern Ishasha section of Queen to look out for the legendary Tree-climbing Lions before continuing to the great Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Bwindi National Park is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site that is home to 459 gorillas of the world’s 1063 Mountain gorilla population, many Albertine rift endemic birds, monkeys, butterflies, and plants.

After breakfast at 6.30 am, transfer to the Bwindi National Park headquarters. Meet the ranger guides at 7 am for allocation of the Gorilla families and pre-trekking briefing. After the briefing at 8 am, trek through the dense forest to see a family of rare and endangered Mountain gorillas.

The trek takes 2-8 hours. You spend 1 hour with the Gorillas, observing them from a safe distance of not less than 7m. This is a moment that you’ll never forget. After the Gorilla encounter, enjoy your packed lunch and return to the starting point for your gorilla trekking certificate. Then transfer to scenic Lake Bunyonyi, about 90 minutes away for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
