Day 1: Transfer To Gulu. Visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary En Route For Rhino Tracking.
You’ll be picked up from the hotel in Entebbe at 6.30 am and then head off on a 7-8 hour drive to Gulu. Passing through ever-changing landscapes, bustling roadside markets, and quiet rural villages, you break off the journey at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the rhino tracking on foot. Ziwa is home to Uganda’s only wild Rhinos.
You go on 2 hours guided trek to find the white rhinos and also see several other wildlife such as antelopes and birds. After the adventure, have lunch at Kabalega dinner and continue to Gulu Town for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Drive To Kidepo Valley National Park & Enjoy A Game Drive Upon Arrival.
After breakfast at 7 am, embark on 3-4 hour drive to the Kidepo. Arrive at your lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the evening, enjoy a game drive in Kidepo National Park, one of the African most pristine wilderness. You explore the golden savannah plains teeming with many wild animals.
Kidepo is home to 77 mammal species and nearly 500 bird species, including many that are found nowhere else in Uganda such as; ostriches, cheetahs, bat-eared foxes, caracals, and aardwolves. Day 3: Morning Game Drive In Kidepo & Afternoon Karamajong Community Tour.
Wake up at 6.00 am, have a quick breakfast, and set off for a beautiful 4-hour game drive in the Kidepo’s incredible wilderness.
Enjoy the stunning sunrise over the rugged horizon and savanna grasslands and observe plenty of animals when you drive through the savanna grasslands of the Narus Valley in the south of the park. The Narus valley contains most of the park’s animals as it is the permanent water source of Kidepo and is the greenest part of the park. After the game drive, return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, visit a traditional Karamajong Manyatta (homestead) for cultural encounters. The Karamojong are nomadic pastoralists and proud people with a well-preserved and iconic culture. They still live their traditional lifestyle which has not been affected much by modernization. Day 4: Transfer To Murchison Falls NP. Night Game Drive.
Enjoy an early breakfast at 7 am, check out, and embark on a 7-8 hour drive to Murchison Falls NP. You’ll have a stopover in Kitgum town for lunch, arrive in Murchison in the late afternoon, freshen up and relax at the lodge.
At around 7 pm, embark on a 2-hour night game drive with an armed ranger. Explore the park’s dark plains, looking for the unusual nocturnal animals such as hyenas, lions, leopards, civets, genets, porcupines, bushbabies, nightjar, and grazing hippos.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Afternoon Boat Trip To The Bottom Of Murchison Falls.
Wake up for an early tea/coffee at 6 am and set off for a morning 4-hour game drive. Explore the vast palm-dotted savannah plains in the northern area of the park which harbors a huge variety of animals. Look out for Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, Hyenas, Hippos, Warthogs, Antelope, Monkeys, etc. Return to your lodge for a rest and lunch.
In the afternoon, transfer to Paraa for a relaxing 3-hour boat cruise on the Nile to the bottom of Murchison Falls. You’ll see many Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, and other games that come to drink and cool off in the water. Waterbirds are abundant such as Kingfishers, Cormorants, Herons, Fish Eagles, and Bee-Eaters.

Day 6: Visit The Top Of Murchison Falls & Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast at 8 am, check out of the lodge and drive to the top of Murchison Falls to view the longest river in the world and the world’s strongest waterfall from a different perspective. After observing the falls, drive southward to Kibale National Park. The journey is filled with scenic views of the Albertine Rift escarpment and the lush and verdant countryside.
You get to Fort Portal town in time for lunch, after which you shall continue on a 1-hour drive south to Kibale. Kibale National Park is an extensive tract of dense tropical rainforest – reputed to harbor the highest density and diversity of primates in all of Africa – a record of 13 species.

Day 7: Morning Chimpanzee Trekking & Afternoon Bigodi Community Walk.
Wake up for early breakfast at 6 am and transfer to the visitors’ center by 7 am to meet the rangers and other fellow trackers. After the pre-tracking briefing from the park rangers, begins the 2-5 hours trek to find the Chimpanzee – our closest genetic relatives – and observe plenty of life supported by the evergreen forest.
Kibale is home to Uganda’s biggest population of Chimpanzees – about 1500 individuals. On the trek, you also have a chance to see many other primate such as L’Hoest’s Monkey, Red Colobus, Black-and-white colobus, Baboons, etc. The bird lover will observe some of the 375 bird species in the park. On encountering the chimps, you have one hour to observe them, groom, eat, socialize, play, or patrol.
After your chimpanzee experience, return to the starting point for your packed lunch. Thereafter go for a village walk in the Bigodi community to spend time with the local people and learn more about their day-to-day lives.

At 2 pm, go for a 2-hour afternoon boat safari on Kazinga Channel. The cruise offers you a chance to view some of the world’s densest concentrations of hippos and waterbirds. Day 10: Transfer To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. En-Route Game Drive In Ishasha In Search Of Tree-Climbing Lions.
After breakfast at 8 am, embark on a 4-7 hour drive to Bwindi. Along the way, enjoy a short game drive in the southern Ishasha plains of Queen Elizabeth NP to spot the plains’ famous tree-climbing lions. Exit the park and travel through the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda to the great Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
Despite its rather intimidating name, Bwindi delivers the most wonderful jungle adventure in Africa. It is a sanctuary for half (459) of the world’s population of mountain gorillas and an astonishing number of endemic bird species, plus a healthy population of monkeys.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking In Bwindi & Transfer To Lake Bunyonyi
Today is the day you have been waiting for… the gorilla trek!
Enjoy an early breakfast at 6 am. Then transfer to the park headquarters for the gorilla trekking briefing at 7 am followed by allocation of the gorilla families and at 8 am set off into the forest to look for the gorillas. Trekking takes between 2-8 hours. Once you find the gorillas, spend some time listening to them communicating with one another. Marvel at the sheer size of the dominant adult male, called Silverback, and experience Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife encounter.
After the gorilla experience, return to the starting point to receive your gorilla trekking certificates. Enjoy your packed picnic lunch and drive to the gorgeous Lake Bunyonyi, about 90 minutes away for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Explore the scenery and some of the lake’s major islands to learn about the traditions attached to them. Bunyonyi is a local term that translates to “birds”, aptly named so as you’ll see the many birds. After a relaxed breakfast at around 9.30 am, depart Lake Bunyonyi for Lake Mburo NP. Drive northeast through the impressive Ugandan landscape, villages, and agricultural plantations. Make a stop at the Igongo Cultural Centre for a traditional lunch and thereafter, continue to the park.
Lake Mburo is a 26000 hectares park of wetlands, 5 lakes, savannah grassland, and extensive acacia woodland. It is a famous spot for serious birders with over 350 bird species. It offers some serene game viewing on nature walks, boat cruises, day and night game drives, cycling tours, and horseback rides.
