Day 2 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Antananarivo –Andasibe (Analamazaotra Reserve).

Transfer for 3hrs to Andasibe and upon arrival, engage in the hike at Analamazaotra Nature Reserve to spot the largest of all lemurs called Indri amongst other endemic animals and plants. In the evening, you will go for a short night walk to spot nocturnal animals.
Day 3 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Explore Andasibe / Mantadia National Park.
Mantadia National Park Madagascar Safari Tours
After some ride on a bumpy road, you will reach Mantadia Reserve, home to other species of lemurs, birds, and chameleons. This 4-hour hike is rather challenging but worth-it to explore the primary rainforest of Mantadia National Park. You will seek Black-and-white ruffed lemurs, Diademed sifaka, ground rollers, and the insectivorous tenrecs. In the afternoon, you will spot lemurs closely at the Lemurs’ Island.
Day 4 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Andasibe –Antananarivo – Ambohibary.
After breakfast, you will have about a 5-hour drive southwards to Ambohibary and a rural inn located in a small village. Discover the local culture through local cuisine, dance, and more. An evening without electricity and no running water inside a Malagasy house.
Day 5 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Ambohibary- Antsirabe.
Antsirabe Madagascar Safari Tours
Visit the surrounding villages and leave to Antsirabe – the city of water and rickshaws. You will reach Antsirabe after a 01-hour drive on a paved road. Visit of some precious stones and minerals workshops.
Day 6 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Antsirabe – Ranomafana.
Drive to Ambositra most known for their fantastic woodcarving workshops. Continue to Ranomafana National Park. In the evening, you will take a short walk to observe nocturnal animals around the park.
Day 7 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Explore Ranomafana National Park.

Ranomafana is a place to discover and experience the bewildering diversity of endemic plant and animal life it protects. Home for rare primates amongst other animals and plants. The whole day will be spent inside the park.
Day 8 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Ranomafana – Fianarantsoa – Sahambavy.
Depart to Fianarantsoa. Upon arrival, drive outside of town and have a day hike throughout the Betsileo villages with a pirogue ride to Sahambavy – the tea plantation area.
Day 9 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Sahambavy – Fianarantsoa- Ambalavao – Tsaranoro.
Drive to Ambalavao to visit the Antaimoro paper factory, a silk weavers’ workshop as well as the community-run reserve of Anja. From there, you will get off-road to reach the Tsaranoro Valley.
Day 10 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Tsaranoro Valley (Andringitra National Park).

You will enjoy a full day hike in the western side of the Andringitra National Park. This Gondwana massif has a wide diversity of ecosystems ranging from low altitude rainforest in the East to alti-mountain and savannah. There are several options of hiking level depending on your own pace.
Day 11 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Tsaranoro – Isalo.
Your day will be spent mostly on the road through the rocky landscape and savannah scenery. You will be arriving at the end of the afternoon at Isalo. The sunset at Isalo is a nostalgic moment (Weatherwise).
Day 12 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Explore Isalo National Park.

The major part of the day will be spent inside the park to observe its beauty. As the temperature can rise considerably in the afternoon, you will spend some comforting time by the natural swimming pool or at the black pool inside the canyon. In the morning, you will head southwards to Tulear towards the savannah and the baobab areas. Several species of spiny vegetation of this area are endemic and exist nowhere else. On the way, you will visit the Zombitse National park to observe other species of lemurs like the Hapalemurs.

Day at leisure. (No visit/excursion planned). Possibility of scuba diving and snorkeling – Fishing – Swimming – or just relaxing.
Day 15 of the 16 Days Madagascar Tour Safari: Ifaty – Tulear – Antananarivo.
Transfer to Tulear airport and fly back to the capital. Visit some cultural sites if time allows.
