2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari – DETAILED SAFARI ITINERARY
Day 1 of the 2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Do an Afternoon Boat Cruise along Kazinga Channel & an Evening Game Drive.
At around 6:30am after breakfast at you place of stay in Kampala, our safari guide will pick you up to embark on a 417km (approx. 7 hours) drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the south west of Uganda. We drive from Kampala towards the west driving past the Equator, Igongo Cultural Center and Bunyaruguru Crater before arriving in Queen Elizabeth Park fronted by the magnificent Rwenzori Mountain range for much of your journey.
We will connect to the lodge for check in and lunch after which we will transfer to the Mweya jetty for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel which starts at 2 pm. We will have an evening 2-hour boat cruise running along the Kazinga channel that stretches from Lake George to Lake Edward covering 45km distance. The launch trip offers an opportunity to view some of the highest concentration of hippos in one place in the whole world on a peaceful sailing boat, surrounded by over 550 species of migrant and resident water birds, plus Elephants, Buffalos, and crocodiles basking at water edges just few meters from the launch.
This cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. We retreat from the boat cruise and do an evening game drive along the Channel track to explore wild game in their evening moments. Continue to the lodge for overnight.

Day 2 of the 2 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari: Do Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Kampala with a Stop at Igongo Cultural Center and Uganda Equator Crossing at Kayabwe.
You wake up for an early morning cup of coffee in the views of the moist savannah before heading to the park for the game drive at 7am. Undertake a game drive in the scenic savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Kasenyi sector.
The fantastic game drive presents an opportunity to encounter a range of African savannah animals such as Lions, Africa savannah elephants, Cape Buffalos, Leopards, Topis, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, Bushbucks, Common warthogs, Spotted hyenas, Side-striped jackals, and Hippos not forgetting counts of bird species since Queen Elizabeth Park is home to over 610 bird species (the largest checklist of any protected area in East Africa), including Martial Eagle, African Skimmer, Black-rumped Buttonquail, Chapin’s Flycatcher, Pink backed Pelican, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, White-tailed Lark, Black Bee-eater and White-winged Warbler.
Retreat from the activity and embark on the transfer back to Kampala making a stop at Igongo Cultural Center 12km past Mbarara town and Uganda Equator crossing at Kayabwe for photo shoots and purchase of souvenir to commemorate your safari in Uganda.
