Day 1 of the 3 Days Lowland Gorilla Safari in Congo: Transfer from Kigali to Bukavu – Congo

You are picked up from your place of stay in Kigali to embark on the transfer to Cyangungu to the south of Rwanda. The drive takes you through the magical landscapes of southern Rwanda making a stop in Nyanza to visit the Royal palace known as Rukaari – the Royal home to the Kings Musinga and his successor Rudahigwa for extensive cultural touch along with another stop in Butare town for lunch and to explore the National Museum of Rwanda noted to be one of the largest Museums in East Africa for more heritage experience. Proceed on the drive to Cyangungu crossing to Bukavu Congo for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 of the 3 Days Lowland Gorilla Safari in Congo: Undertake lowland gorilla trekking in Kahuzi – Biega National Park in DR Congo

After breakfast, embark on a historical adventure of tracking the low land gorillas thriving in Kahuzi Biega National Park. The low land gorilla trek is very interesting as it presents an opportunity to explore these species that are different from the common Mountain gorillas. The low land gorillas are remarkably larger in size and prefer to stay in bigger groups. The trek to these species lasts about 1 – 4 hours. Following the gorilla trek, a nature walk in the Park to explore the Tshibati falls with beautiful scenery or exploring Bukavu town and the Mbayo tea estates. Retreat back to the hotel for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
