Day 1 of the 3 Days Murchison Falls Safari: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route.
You will have breakfast at around 6.30am at your hotel in Kampala and then we will embark on 311km (5-6 hours) drive to Murchison Falls National Park. We will take a panoramic drive northwest through the former battle zone of the Luwero Triangle, driving through the striking rural Uganda rural landscape with lush green cover, scattered human settlement, towns and markets where you will see people going on with their daily life.
You will also drive through the impressive flat stretches of Nakasongola district before branching off at Nakitooma for 7km drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you will get the opportunity to undertake a 2 hours rhino tracking expedition on foot in company of an expert ranger guide. The count of 22 white Rhinos are apparently thriving in Ziwa after the restocking programme that saw Rhinos return to Uganda by 2005 following their extinction in 1982.
You retreat from the encounter, settle for lunch at the Kabalega dinner and continue on the drive to Murchison Falls National Park cross with the ferry at Paraa jetty to the northern section for relaxation at the lodge, dinner and overnight.

Day 2 of the 3 Days Murchison Falls Safari: Do morning game drive, afternoon Nile launch cruise and hike to the top of the falls.
After breakfast at around 6.30am, will undertake a game drive in the scenic savannah plains of Murchison Falls Park’s northern sector where the myriad of wildlife is known to thrive. You will have an opportunity to encounter African bush elephants, Cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, Defassa waterbucks, Oribis, Hippos and Uganda Kobs as well as predators such as Lions, Leopards, and Spotted hyenas. You will also have a chance see many of the park’s 451 bird species including Abyssinian ground hornbills, Grey-crowned cranes, Palm-nut vultures, Black headed lapwings, Black-bellied barbet and others.
The game drive takes about 3-4 hours with an interjection of a bush breakfast warmly arranged by the lodge. It’s magical to have a thrilling cup of coffee surrounded by the wilderness. In the afternoon, you connect to Paraa Jetty for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River to the bottom of Murchison which starts at 2 pm. The 3 hours afternoon boat cruise is not only recreations but also offers a chance to cruise just meters from numerous Nile Crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, Elephants, Buffalos along with impressive waterbirds such as Goliath herons, Saddle bellied stork, African jacana, Squacco heron, African fish eagles and the iconic shoebill storks.
Upon reaching the bottom of the falls, you disembark from the boat and hike to the top of the falls. You follow a narrow challenging path walking past the sights and sounds of the Nile River as it splashes its head on the rocks that have narrowed its path to less than 7m ravine before falling 45m below the Devils Cauldron generating a plume of spray marked by a trademark rainbow. You connect with the driver guide at the top and then drive to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
