Day 1 of the 4 Days Congo Gorilla & Nyiragongo Climbing Safari: Early transfer from Kigali to Congo – Virunga National Park
Depart Kigali at 5am and transfer to Goma Congo crossing at Goma boarder before 10am. You enjoy amazing views of undulating hills of Rwanda and Lake Kivu en route. Upon arrival in Goma, transfer to Kibumba Tented Camp for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2 of the 4 Days Congo Gorilla & Nyiragongo Climbing Safari: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Virunga National Park
Settle for breakfast and gather at park station for briefing about the Gorilla trek starting at 8am. From briefing, you head to the forest in the company of armed park ranger guides in search of the Mountain Gorillas that are known to be critically endangered world over. The gorilla trek lasts 2 – 8 hours but one full hour of actual gorilla viewing experience, exploring them as they forage and socialize while taking great photos. You spend the afternoon at leisure or take an optional tour to the local community to explore their way of life.

Day 3 of the 4 Days Congo Gorilla & Nyiragongo Climbing Safari: Adventure climbing expedition to Nyiragongo Volcano
Gather at Kibati Patrol post to start the adventure hike to Nyiragongo Volcano at 9am. It a once in a lifetime adventure hike to the world’s largest and most violent lava lake and lasts for 4 – 6 hours traversing both gentle and steep ascend. You enjoy incredible scenic sights of the surrounding volcanic mountains and the jungle of Congo below. After the dark, the sight of the red lava lake is the highlight of this adventure and presents an opportunity for lasting photoshoots.

Day 4 of the 4 Days Congo Gorilla & Nyiragongo Climbing Safari: Descend Nyiragongo Volcano & drive back to Kigali
Early sunrise photoshoot, breakfast and descend back to Kibati. You are likely to return between 11am – 1pm after which you transfer to Kigali to mark the end of the tour.
