Day 1 of 4 Days Luxury Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari & Gorilla Habituation Experience: Fly from Entebbe at 07:45 am to Bwindi & engage in an optional activity
Depending on your confirmed scheduled flight time, which will be communicated to you upon booking, our company representative will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Entebbe international airport to catch up with your flight to Bwindi. Your e-tickets will be sent to you by email during the booking and the representative will come along with a hard copy.
You will be welcomed by an aero link representative once you enter into the departures section that will help check you in and usher you onto the aircraft. While on the flight you will enjoy a bird’s eye views of the beautiful landscapes such as the Lake Victoria, forests, small towns, and villages since they fly the planes at lower altitudes. Upon arrival at Kisoro, you will be welcomed by our guide who will greet, brief, and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation. Flight duration is usually one hour depending on the weather that day.
The transfer from the airstrip to the Lodge can as well be approximately one hour driving through the colourful villages and other interesting scenic views. Depending on your desire that day, you can opt to relax at the lodge enjoying the facilities there in preparation for the next day’s encounter or engage in one of the optional activities such as the Bwindi Forest walks, Batwa community tour or take Bwindi village walk with the guidance of your safari guide. At the end of this activity, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2 of the 4 Days Luxury Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari & Gorilla Habituation Experience: Do Mountain Gorilla habituation & engage in a Batwa community walk
On this day, you will wake up early for this intimate once of a kind experience with the Gorillas. Equipped with packed lunch and lots of drinking water, your guide will drive you the park headquarters where you will meet the habituation team comprising of trackers, researchers, conservationist, and rangers who will brief and soon lead you into the forest trail so that you catch up with the Gorillas as they depart their nest.
Gorilla habituation allows you to observe the Gorillas for 4 hours from the time you encounter them compared to the ordinary gorilla trekking which allows for 1 hour only. The thrill of being part of the habituation process of these gentle giants is humbling and will offer you an opportunity to ask the researchers as many questions as you want about Gorillas in general. You will have ample time for photography and enjoyment as you observe them play, feed, and care for their little ones. You will encounter other wild mammals and birds that live within the confinements of this park.
At the end of this activity, you will retreat back to the park center where you will be awarded a gorilla habituation certificate for your trekking efforts. After gorilla Habituation, your next safari adventure will be a visit to the local Batwa community. This local community experience will offer you a first-hand golden opportunity to interact with one of the indigenous tribes of Uganda who are the Batwa pygmies the original dwellers of the Bwindi Impenetrable forest where they survived on hunting, collecting plant for food and medicine. While on this community tour they will share with you some of their hunting skills, herbal medicine knowledge, and general lifestyle.
You will be visiting a local homestead in which you will be observing their beddings, child care, cooking technics and if you want you can taste some of their local delicacies. You will visit one of the prominent herbalists who will take you through the natural remedies used to treat several of their ailments. After the Batwa encounter, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 of the 4 Days Luxury Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari & Gorilla Habituation Experience: Undertake Mountain Gorilla trekking Experience and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Today is the day you will get to meet the incredible habituated gorillas while on this Uganda safari tour! You will have breakfast very early in the morning at 6:30 am then you will be transferred to the park offices where you will receive a short briefing about the dos and don’ts to be observed during this gorilla trekking adventure. After this briefing, you will set off into the jungle on your search for the gorillas in the lead of a very skilled armed ranger guide who will also help you make sense of the numerous attractions that you will find along the search for the gorillas and these include several of the 350 bird species that have made this park an incredible birding destination to many birders on their Uganda birding adventure.
Several other primates such as Black and White colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys might also come your way and some of the 27 Lizard species like the three-horned chameleons can be spotted. On seeing the gorillas, you have a full hour with these magical beings to watch them as they go about their daily lives, and if you’re lucky you might get to see the young gorillas break the 7 meters or 21 feet rule because the further back you are the more relaxed the group will be. After the one hour contact with these gorillas, you will transfer back to the park center where you get awarded a Gorilla tracking certificate for your tracking efforts.
From here, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi where you get to relax from the gorilla habituation and trekking experience. On arrival at this beautiful tropical gem of the Kigezi highland, you will be fascinated by the breathtaking view of this lake and its numerous islands that are dotted all over it. You will engage in a canoe ride on the lake touring the various islands as the guide on board explains to you the history behind each of them. The most prominent ones the Akampene island also referred to as the punishment Island were young girls who got pregnant were thrown and left to die alone, the upside-down island is also known as Bukuranuka which is believed to have been cursed by an old lady when the young people who lived on that island refused to give her beer, thus cursing it and it turned upside down hence having them all drowned, Njuyeera or Sharp’s Island, Bushara and Kyahunge islands.
From this boat cruise, you will transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
The highlight of the day: Gorilla trekking or encountering the habituated Mountain Gorillas for 1 hour.

On the final day of this safari, you will wake up very early in the morning and have breakfast after which you will drive to Kihihi airstrip where you will catch your return flight back to Entebbe airport. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by a company representative who will de-brief you and assist drop you off at your hotel or help you check-in to your next flight home depending on your travel plans.
