Day 4: Morning Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater & Transfer Back To Arusha (Kilimanjaro International Airport).

After an early breakfast today, descend 2000 feet to the crater floor for a game drive. Take in the spectacular views from the rim of the crater as you make your way to the bottom, where animals roam the lakes, rivers, woodlands, and hills.

If all goes to plan, you’ll see all of the Big Five animals. Also, keep an eye out for hyenas, zebra, eland, wildebeest, impala, cheetah, Jackals, Caracals, gazelle, flamingos, and Ostriches, as well as the colorfully dressed Maasai people who often water their cattle at the lake here. The wild animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles and as a result, it’s easier to watch them from up close.

After a game drive, enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor and drive up the steep road out of the crater. Embark on a 4-hour (190km) drive back to Arusha (Kilimanjaro Airport) for drop-off at the end of this fantastic 4 days Tanzania safari.
