Your 5 days Tanzania safari begins in the beautiful Tarangire National Park. Tarangire has the biggest number of elephants in the northern part of Tanzania and is dotted with massive Baobab trees – the largest trees in Africa, which are a favorite with the elephant and make for a beautiful landscape.
After your time in Tarangire, you explore the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying world-class game viewing. The legendary plains of Serengeti Park look like movie scenes of wildest Africa, teeming with game and home to the epic Wildebeest Migration.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site boasting some of Africa’s densest concentrations of large animals – resulting in almost guaranteed sightings of the Big Five animals.

Your 5 Days Safari Tanzania Tour begins at 8.00 am with a pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha and a briefing by your tour driver guide before you leave. After the briefing, embark on a scenic drive of about 2½ hours to the beautiful Tarangire National Park in the southwest.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, have some time to relax and then set out into the park for a game drive in search of wonderful wildlife. Tarangire’s grassy plains are dotted with magnificent majestic Baobabs – the largest trees in Africa and home to a high concentration of area wildlife. Elephants are especially abundant here, with some herds numbering up to 300 strong.
Due to its low volume of visitors, the park offers a serene and intimate wildlife-viewing experience. Tarangire is also the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as Oryx and Gerenuk are seen regularly.
Seek out large herds of Zebras, Giraffes, Elands, Gazelles, Buffalos, Impalas, Wildebeests, Hartebeests, and Waterbuck, as well as the Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, and Cheetahs that prey on them.
Over 550 bird species, including dazzling Yellow-collared lovebirds, Common Ostrich- the world’s largest bird, and Kori Bustard – the world’s heaviest flying bird. After a game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast on day two of your 5 days safari Tanzania tour, embark on a long but scenic 5-6 hour drive north. Travel through rural Masai villages and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, skirting the mighty volcanic Ngorongoro Crater.
Your destination today is the famous Serengeti National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), one of the best-known game parks in Africa, and probably the world. Serengeti gets its name from the local Maasai word ‘Siringet’, meaning the place where the land moves on forever. Its endless plains span some 14,700km2 and are home to more than 3 million animals.
The park has become world-famous for its annual wildebeest migration, an iconic and dramatic scene in wildlife documentaries for decades, and a true bucket list Africa safari experience. This afternoon, enjoy a game drive on your way to your accommodation in central Serengeti.
Have a picnic lunch en route, so as not to cut into your game viewing time in this wonderful part of Serengeti. This area encompasses the world-famous Seronera Valley which is known for its prime wildlife-viewing opportunities. It is the best place in Africa to see Lions, Leopards, and Cheetahs on thrilling hunts.
You will arrive at your lodge/camp in the evening for relaxation. Tonight, you can enjoy a private outdoor dinner under the stars to a soundtrack of the wild Serengeti.

On this day three of your 5 Days Safari Tanzania Tour, You will head out while the animals are at their most active, then head back to camp/lodge at around 11.30 am for lunch and some relaxation. After spending the middle of the day relaxing, just like the animals do, head out again as the day begins to cool. You’ll return from this second game drive in time for dinner.

After an early breakfast on day four of your 5 Days Safari Tanzania Tour, You may visit the Simba Kopjes, a rock outcrop favored by lions and cheetah as high perches and a place to hide their cubs, and they can often be seen basking in the morning sun on top. (Simba is Swahili for lion and kopje Afrikaans for ‘little head’).
You then return to the camp for lunch. After lunch, check out and begin your drive through Serengeti back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travel up towards the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, a gigantic, natural caldera, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, seen by many as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.
Formed by a massive volcanic eruption, this world’s largest unbroken caldera (264km2), is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage Site and offers a year-round home to an astonishing 30,000 animals including rare black rhinos and some of Africa’s densest concentrations of lions.
You will have your dinner/overnight at a lodge/camp on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater or near the crater.

After an early breakfast today, descend 2000 feet to the crater floor for a game drive. If all goes to plan, you’ll see some or maybe even all of the Big Five animals that reside here. The animals here are less wary of humans and vehicles and as a result, it’s easier to watch them from up close.
Take in the spectacular views from the rim of the crater as you make your way to the bottom, where animals roam the lakes, rivers, woodlands, and hills.
Keep an eye out for wildebeest, lion, zebra, cheetah, hyenas, Jackals, Caracals, buffalo, gazelle, flamingos, Ostriches, and the endangered black rhino, as well as the colorfully dressed Maasai people who often water their cattle at the lake here.
After a game drive, enjoy a bush picnic lunch on the crater floor and then drive up the steep road out of the crater. Embark on a 4-hour (190km) drive back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro International Airport for drop-off at the end of this fantastic 5 Days Safari Tanzania Tour.
