5 Days Uganda Tour − Gorilla Trekking, Wildlife Viewing, Lake Bunyonyi & Community Tour

5 Days Uganda Tour SAFARI OVERVIEW

The 5 days Uganda tour is a 4 nights 5 days tour in Uganda safari offering gorilla trekking in Bwindi, wildlife safaris in Lake Mburo, and Lake Bunyonyi community tours.

This 5 days Uganda tour takes you to the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to enter the domain of the largest living primate on earth. About 1,063 mountain gorillas survive in the wild, with around half of them resident in Bwindi.

On this 5-day itinerary, you’ll experience this once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure through the dense forest. Experienced local ranger guides will lead you to the gorillas. The trek lasts between 2-8 hours. Contact time with gorillas is limited to one hour; group size is limited to 6 visitors and participants must be aged 15 or over.

Owing to the nature of the terrain and the need to explore to find the gorillas, the trek doesn’t follow a path instead, the guides will cut a route through the undergrowth. Strong hiking shoes/boots are highly recommended. Once you encounter a gorilla family, you’ll be able to spend an hour observing them before returning to the lodge for a hot shower, a delicious meal, and personal meditation on how it feels to come face to face with our closest living relatives.

This impressive 5 days Uganda tour package also features wild game viewing in Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park home to 350 bird species and 68 species of mammals including Burchell’s zebra, Impala, Eland, Cape buffalo, Oribi, Defassa waterbuck, Leopard, Hippo, Spotted hyena, Common Warthog, Topi, and Reedbuck. We’ll have a recreational boat cruise on the magically beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, literally translated as the place of many little birds. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest Lake in Africa.

Amazing about this lake is its count of 29 Islands including the Punishment Island or Akampene, Upside down Island or Bucuranuka Kahungye, and Njuyeera. The surrounding Kigezi Highlands present magical scenic views ideal for sightseeing. We also undertake historical, heritage, and cultural tours to the 1520AD eclipse monument, the Igongo Cultural Center, and Kampala city.
