After breakfast at your place of stay in Kigali or upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you embark on the transfer to Rwanda gorilla safari destination of Volcanoes National Park 116km about 2 – 3 hours drive gaining remarkable scenic views of the countryside. You settle for lunch upon arrival after which you embark on the tour to the historical Musanze caves whose formation dates far back to 65million years ago as a result of lava overflow from Bisoke and Sabyinyo Volcanoes. The caves feature 31 entrances and its exploration lasts about 2 hours in the company of armed personnel. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Undertake the hike to Dian Fossey graveyard to pay tribute and learn more about this American Primatologist who dedicated all her life to the Conservation of Mountain Gorillas from 1967 to 1985. The hike will lead you to her site at Karisoke in between Mount Bisoke and Mount Karisimbi where her tomb along that of her Silverback Digit lie. The Dian Fossey hike lasts 4 hours after which you settle at the lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Embark on the golden monkey tracking commencing at 7 am from Kinigi Park station. You trek the slopes of Mount Sabinyo before exploring these endangered species thriving in the Bamboo zone. Golden monkeys are marked with a golden patch on their backs which are impressive to explore as they jump from branch to branch. The golden monkey trek lasts about 4 hours with the actual viewing limited to one hour for conservation purposes. Wake up for an early breakfast at 6 am before embarking on a rewarding game drive with possible views of a range of wild game including; the elephants, Masaai Giraffes, the Buffaloes, the Impala, waterbucks, bushbucks, roan antelope, leopards, reedbuck among other species. The 3 – 4-hour drive stretches up to the northern landscapes of Mutumba hills where you gain panoramic views of the wetland system below and the overlooking Tanzanian plains.
