At 07:30 am, our tour driver/guide shall pick you up from your pre-tour accommodation in Nairobi city. Leaving Nairobi, you’ll travel northwest for around 163km/101 miles (2-3 hours) to Lake Nakuru National Park.
On your way, you’ll see magnificent views of the Great East African Rift Valley, until you reach your Lodge for lunch and a comfortable overnight.
Nakuru which means “dusty place” in the Masai language, is among the rift valley’s alkaline lakes protected by Lake Nakuru National Park measuring 188km2.
You’ll enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive through Lake Nakuru, surrounded by picturesque high ridges, in search of the rare Black Rhinos, Rothschild’s giraffes, White Rhinos, Leopards, Lions, Cape Buffalos, Impalas, Zebras, Olive baboons, Hyenas, Waterbucks, Gazelles, etc.
You shall further drive along the salty Lake Nakuru shores and see an amazing variety of birds such as the beautiful Flamingos, that made Lake Nakuru declared a national park. After a game drive, check out of your lodge and travel south for about two hours to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful rift valley freshwater close to Hell’s Gate National Park.
On arrival, have a delicious lunch and some downtime at the lodge. In the afternoon, take a leisurely boat trip across the lake to see hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, and countless species of water birds up close.
