Day 1 of the 6 Days Safari in Uganda: Transfer to Lake Mburo for an afternoon game drive
On the first day of this memorable safari tour, you will be picked up and briefed by our safari guide about the safari and what to expect that day. You start off early in the morning at 6:00 am with breakfast from your hotel then embark on an incredible 240km road trip to Lake Mburo National Park which takes about 4 hours to get there from Kampala.
While on this epic road journey, you will enjoy exciting road stops at Mpambire drum centre and have an encounter with local artists as they manufacture a wide variety of local musical instruments such as the drums, African chairs. Another stop is done at the Equator where you get to have an equator experience on how to differentiate the Northern from the Southern hemispheres and also have a photo moment. You will also immerse yourselves in the Equator experience which shows you how the 2 halves are different from each other.
From here, continue with your remarkable journey to Lake Mburo where you will be greeted by the undulating topography of this untamed wilderness that is fully beaming with a wide diversity of wild animals. Check-in at the lodge, enjoy lunch, relax for a while and later embark on a rewarding evening game drive in the acacia savannah landscapes of Lake Mburo National Park with likely sights of Impalas found nowhere else in Uganda, Burchell’s Zebra and Elands found only here and in far northeast (Kidepo and Pian Upe), Topis, Cape Buffalos, Rothschild Giraffes and if you’re lucky you might also encounter the beautiful and stocky Leopards that might found enjoying an evening stroll or even on a hunting escapade.

Day 2 of the 6 Days Safari in Uganda: Do a morning game walk/drive as you transfer to Queen for Chimpanzee tracking
Day 2 starts early at 6:30 am in time for breakfast after which you will start a walking safari experience at 7:00 am lasting about 2 hours as you explore the undulating plains of Lake Mburo. This walking safari promises you incredible point-blank encounters with the wild dwellers of these plains which include Burchell’s Zebra, the Impala, Topis, the Deffasa Waterbuck, Bushbuck, warthog, the Rothschild giraffes and elands among other species can be explored on this morning encounter.
At the end of this activity, your next adventure will be a safari transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an epic chimpanzee trek in Kalinzu forest. Queen Elizabeth Park lies about 200km or 3-4 hours’ drive from Lake Mburo. During this drive to Queen Elizabeth, you will enjoy magnificent sightings of the long-horned Ankole cattle which you’re likely to find along the way as they walk to the grazing fields.
You will also have beautiful views of the Bushenyi tea estates which from afar look like expansive football fields with their lush green colouration visible as far as your eye site can allow you to see. As you get closer to the park you will meet the Kyambura escarpment and this is the get way into the western arm of the rift valley which houses this park. You can take a minute off to admire the scrolling savanna plains on the rift valley that welcome you to Queen Elizabeth Park. From here you will have a short lunch break in one of the restaurants here after which you will drive to Kalinzu forest to engage where you will engage in a Chimpanzee trekking spectacle. When you encounter these Chimpanzees, you will be amazed by their human-like characters in terms of both behaviour and physical structure that have earned them a name as the humans of the wild. You will fall in love with how these wild beings interact with each other including parting each other on the backs, giving each other hugs and sometimes even kisses.
At the end of your one full contact hour with the chimpanzees, you will return to back to the starting point where the guide will drive you to your lodge here for relaxation dinner and an overnight stay.
Experiencing walking among the wild animals of Mburo and Chimp trekking in Queen will be the highlight of the day.

Day 3 of the 6 Days Safari in Uganda: Morning game drive in Kasenyi sector, afternoon Kazinga Channel launch cruise
The day of the 6 days safari in Uganda starts quite early as you have an early morning breakfast at 6:00 am after which you get to engage in a morning game drive experience as you explore of more the Kasenyi sector of this park which is filled with a wide variety of animals such as 4 out of the 5 big five mammals which include lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, large herds of African bush elephants, Topis and many other antelope species. Retreat from the encounter which tends to take 2 – 5 hours, settle for lunch after which you transfer to Mweya jetty for an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise which is the highlight of the day as it is considered the best boat cruise experience on the African savanna plains.
During this boat cruise, you have the opportunity to sail on the tranquil but turbid waters of the Kazinga channel a 40 km long channel that connects Lake George to Lake Edward. This cruise offers you an opportunity to see at close range the highest concentration of water submerged Hippos which is close to 5000 individuals and Nile crocodiles that are seen basking along the shores of the channel.
If you are interested in birding then this boat cruise in a good place for you to be because it offers you the chance to several of the waterbird species that constitute a big part of the 600 bird species that are found in this park alone. The cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching, and game viewing.
You retreat from the boat cruise and engage in an evening game drive along the Channel track to explore more wild game in their evening moments. Continue to the lodge for overnight

Day 4 of the 6 Days Safari in Uganda: Transfer to Bwindi with an en-route game drive in Ishasha sector
Day 4 of this 6 days safari in Uganda is dedicated to seeing you transfer from Queen Elizabeth Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will wake up very early in the morning at 6:30 am for breakfast. After having breakfast, you will embark on an 8-9 hours transfer to above sea level with snow-capped peaks. This drive will also take you through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth and when you arrive here, you will the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth Park. On arrival here, you will engage in a stunning game drive in this sector while you search for the tree-climbing lions that have made this park and particularly this sector a must-visit place for numerous Africa safari adventurers who are interested in having encounters with these rather unique lions as they usually find them taking a mid-morning rest while lodging their bodies in between tree branches.
After your game drive which lasts for about 2 hours, transfer to a convenient lodge in this park sector for your lunch break which also helps you stretch your body for a while before you then embark on the remaining part of your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
A sighting of the tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector logged in between tree branches is the highlight of the day.

Day 5 of the 6 Safari in Uganda: Do Mountain Gorilla trekking & enjoy an evening community walk
On this day, you will have an early morning breakfast served at 6:30 am comprising of a wide assortment of bites ranging from truly delicious tropical organic fruits to freshly baked confectionaries aimed at giving you an energy boost for the gorilla trekking in Bwindi experience ahead of you where you get to meet one of the gorilla families in this park for a full hour.
Depart from the lodge with your packed lunch and gather at the park centre where you will be welcomed by the park sector warden who will take you through the history of gorilla conservation in this particular park sector and Bwindi park in general. While here still you get to have a miniature cultural performance from the local Batwa people who will showcase their musical skills to you. With your armed ranger in the lead, embark on a trek, searching for your allocated gorilla family. Along the way keep your eyes and ears on the lookout for several of the 350 bird species that are found in this park that might come your way, you will also be in a position to see some of the other primates here such as the Black and white colobus monkeys, L’hoest monkeys, different species of lizards such as the 3 horned chameleon and many more. On seeing the gorillas, you will be granted a full hour with these magical beings to watch them as they go about their daily lives and if you’re lucky you might get to see the young gorillas break the 7-meter rule as they get closure to you to have you incorporated in their games.
After the full hour contact with these gorillas, you will transfer back to the park centre where you get awarded a Gorilla tracking certificate for your tracking efforts. From here, In the evening, you will engage in a Batwa village walk and this allows you to have an up-close encounter with these people to have an understanding of their daily lives, you will visit the traditional herbalist who will introduce to the Batwa’s jungle clinic which they so much frequent in search for natural remedies to most of their ailments.
At the end of this visit, you will transfer to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6 of the Safari in Uganda: Transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight back home.
You will wake up at 7:00 am to the sweet melodies of birds that will be singing their hearts off to the dawn of a new day and this will fairly make you understand why this forest is indeed a hotspot for birds as you will hear interjecting voices of many birds singing together in uniformity as they welcome the day. Grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and choose from any of the available wide selection of confectionaries.
After having breakfast, you will embark on the transfer to Kampala 520km and Entebbe 570km from Lake Bunyonyi. During this return journey to Entebbe, you will drive through the rolling hills of Mirama which will fascinate you given how the locals here have managed to tame these wildlands by cultivating along these steep slopes. Along the way back you will encounter many local men carrying farm produce on their bicycles headed towards the nearest local markets.
You will make an en-route stop for locally prepared lunch at Igongo country hotel just a few kilometres outside Mbarara town. From here proceed with the rest of your journey back to Entebbe airport where your safari will come to an end as you catch your departure flight back home.
