This magical 9-day trip takes us to Lake Victoria, the world’s largest tropical lake (approximately 68,800 km2 in size) and Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park (3,840km2), blessed with the world’s longest river (Nile), the world’s most powerful waterfalls and fantastic wildlife.
On this 9 day Uganda Nile Perch fishing Safari, we’ll also hunt for other fantastic fish species such as Tilapia, Catfish and Tigerfish while enjoying the stunning scenery and amazing game viewing: Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Leopards, Rothschild’s giraffes, Hippos, Hippos, Nile crocodiles, Hartebeest, Waterbucks, Bushbucks, Warthogs, Uganda kobs and Oribi plus much more as the checklist of mammal reach 76 species. You will also see several of the park’s 451 bird species including the incredible Shoebill.
We’ll start off with a thrilling boat cruise on Lake Victoria to Pineapple Bay, Bulago Island which is one of the several scenic islands in this great lake, marked with remarkable sandy beaches, beautiful palm trees, savannah and forested landscapes. From here, we’ll undertake a whole sport fishing adventure on Lake Victoria. We’ll then continue to Chobe and Paraa area in Murchison Falls National Park and eventually Arra Fishing Village in Adjumani along the Albert Nile. The record for rod and line in Murchison was established by Kevin Nicholson in 2013. His mammoth catch weighed 114kg; just eclipsing Tim Smith’s 113kg catch in 2009, but far heavier than the previous official record of 73kg, set by C D Mardach in 1959.

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport following your flight from the country of origin and upon arrival, you team up with the driver guide and embark on the transfer to the landing site where you board the 45minute boat cruising on the fresh waters of Lake Victoria to the Luxury Pineapple Bay situated on the magical Bulago Island which is among the great tropical Islands of Uganda marked with remarkable sandy beaches, the beautiful palm trees, savannah and forested landscapes.
You can opt to spend the rest of the day enjoying in the thrilling waters presented in an Olympic size swimming pool as you take breaks to do sunbath or take a nature walk on the Island to explore birds, butterflies, monkeys or doing simple fishing. Settle for the thrilling dinner and overnight.

After a hearty breakfast at 7.00 am, we embark on the fishing encounter in the company of the expert guide on a motorized boat with hopes of catching lots of fish including the mighty Nile Perch (one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world) weighing over 100kg. The fascinating experience will not only arise from the fishing encounter but also the surrounding scenery that marks the area including the series of Islands, counts of fishermen, the expanse water mass and the water birds.
You take good pictures of your memorable encounter on the lake. You retreat for lunch and relaxation and then you can connect back in the afternoon for more rewarding encounters. Settle for dinner and overnight.

After a relaxed breakfast at around 9 am, you connect back to the main land taking a 45minute transfer. Upon reaching the mainland you’ll find an extended Luxury Safari land cruiser waiting for you to embark on 351km (6 hours) drive Norwest to Chobe sector in Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park, Murchison Falls National Park, blessed with the world’s longest river, the world’s most powerful waterfalls, and a collection of classic African wildlife including over 451 bird species and 76 species of mammals.
On the way, we’ll drive through the impressive sceneries of central Uganda crossing Kafu River and the mighty Karuma Bridge on River Nile. We’ll arrive at Chobe Safari Lodge checking in any of its lush units as earlier selected and spend the rest of the day swimming in the three leveled swimming pool overlooking the flowing Nile River as it roars past the small rapids that stand along its way. You can also opt to take a sunset fishing encounter on the river banks before resting for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at 8.00 am, we embark on the fishing activity along the Nile River in the company of expert guides exploring the wonders of the historic Nile which is not a mere stream but the world’s longest River featuring great fish species that it generates from the gigantic Victoria Lake.
Fishing in the Chobe sector dates back to the old days when it stood as a great spot for fishing in the region of East Africa. The reconstruction of Chobe Safari Lodge means the regeneration of ancient memories and putting the site back to the map regarding its fishing potential. You retreat for stimulating lunch at the lodge. You can undertake an evening fishing experience on the River till sunset. We endorse a strict catch and release policy to protect and conserve fish populations.

After breakfast at around 7.00 am, embark on the drive to the Paraa area. The drive through the park offers you magical wild game views including the big four of the Big five like Lions, the Cape Buffaloes, the African Elephants and the Leopards. Other sights like the Rothschild Giraffes, the Uganda Kobs, the Oribis and the Jackson’s Hartebeest may not be missed. Murchison Falls National Parks is also a rich haven for birds.
You settle at Paraa Safari Lodge for lunch and relaxation overlooking the calm Nile River as it flows to the delta area. In the evening, you do another game drive to explore the wild game of Murchison in detail. The sunset views of the savannah with patches of borassus palm trees are rewarding to encounter.

After breakfast at around 7.00 am, you’ll get on the boat along with the expert guides and begin the fishing encounter along the Nile upstream. The area has potential for catching the Nile Perch, the Catfish types and the Tigerfish. During the fishing encounter, you may not dodge the sights of Hippos, the Nile Crocodiles and water birds like the Shoebill stork which is the highly sought after bird in Uganda.
You carry along with the packed lunch and fish to the bottom of the Murchison falls where the Nile Perch is easily landed as it is still unstable following the squeezing of the Nile River narrow gorge. The Murchison fall is arguably the world’s most powerful! It is not very big or wide like some you may have seen before but think of the world’s longest river which is 50 metres wide squeezing through a narrow cleft of up to 7 meters and fall 45 meters down.
After this incredibly exciting activity, we will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at around 8.00 am, we’ll embark on the transfer to Adjumani to the north of the park about 4 hours transfer. You drive through the impressive landscapes of northern Uganda with great open savannah and communal traditional settlements.
You arrive at the Araa fishing lodge and settle for lunch. Arra presents a calm environment on the Albert arm of the Nile. You spend the rest of the day relaxing at the lodge or do simple fishing on the Nile banks before retiring for dinner and overnight.
