It derives its name from Sir Samuel Baker an ancient English explorer who discovered the world’s most powerful waterfall – Murchison Falls. The lush safari styled Lodge features an open access to River Nile fronted by beautiful natural shady trees giving way to a wetland and a range of bird life that thrive therein. The thatched safari tents are very spacious and raised from the ground by supporting pillars. Each tent features a private deck overlooking the river presenting an exclusive and tranquil stay for travelers on Uganda Safaris and tours. They are eight (8) in number all en suite, fitted with solar hot water showers, mosquito nets on the lush beds and good selection of wooden furniture.
Bakers Lodge features a spacious central thatched lounge that houses both restaurant and bar. Here, guests enjoys all round views of the mighty River Nile, hot beverages throughout the day on self service, multi course dinning and a wide selection of wines not forgetting recharging terminals and free Wi-Fi connection.
