Day 1 of the 2 Days Gorilla Safari in Rwanda to tour Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park & Kigali City: Do Kigali City tour; visit the Gisozi genocide memorial, Kigali Markets, the Presidential Palace & transfer to Volcanoes National Park
The safari guide will pick you up at your place of stay in Kigali City after breakfast and then you embark on the Kigali City tour to explore the impressive city landscapes that have a blend of history and modernity. The tour will take you to the Kigali genocide memorial also known as Gisozi genocide memorial to explore the dark Rwandan history where the ethnic conflict resulted into the death of over 800,000 people. You get to learn about its cause and effect. The city drive takes you to the Presidential Palace which is the home of the former Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana whose death acted as a sparking factor to the genocide in Rwanda. The remains of his Presidential Jet in which he clashed are in the compound. You also explore the Kigali markets to gain an insight into the daily life of the business in Rwanda. You retreat from this encounter and embark on the transfer to Volcanoes National Park 116km about 3 hours’ drive passing through the scenic landscapes of Rwanda with rolling hills that have earned her a dub as the land of a thousand hills. You arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2 of the 2 Days Gorilla Safari in Rwanda to tour Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park & Kigali City: Do gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali
You gather at the Volcanoes Park Headquarters Kinigi for the gorilla trekking encounter commencing at 8am local time. The earlier arrival allows you to explore the traditional performances of the local Rwandese demonstrating their culture and also a hut cup of coffee is available all at a zero cost. The time approaches and the performances stop, the gorilla families are allocated and then briefing follows in your respective groups. You attend to briefing about the gorilla trekking conduct after being allocated the respective gorilla family to track. From briefing, you connect to the trail head to embark on the hiking encounter traversing the impressive mountainous landscapes before coming across the gorillas. The one hour with mountain gorillas is rewarding as you see them forage, socialize and the young ones playing. You have the opportunity to take as many photos as you can to keep memory of your lifetime encounter with the gorillas. Retreat from activity and embark on the transfer back to Kigali to mark the end of the Rwanda gorilla tour.
