Mountain Gorillas leading the tourism sector in Uganda- Uganda Safaris & Tours
Uganda Gorillas in are mostly found in Bwindi impenetrable National Park. Gorillas have greatly attracted many tourists who come for safaris to Uganda. They are located within a chain of eight volcanoes known as the Virunga Volcanoes running through the western section of the Rift Valley, forming part of the border between Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
Gorilla trekking safaris have greatly contributed to the development of Uganda, this is because these primates have been fully preserved and conserved by Uganda Wildlife Authority a government organisation which is responsible for protecting the wildlife in Uganda.
Mountain Gorillas in Uganda have been utilised since they have always attracted many visitors from all over the world to come and have a look at these interesting primates which are not found any where else apart from Uganda, Congo and Rwanda.
Uganda Gorillas have led the tourism sector in Uganda mainly because there is a lot of marketing and promotion done by the Authority. This has improved the tourism sector since mountain gorillas have continued to lead the tourism sector in Uganda.
Mountain Gorillas in Uganda are interesting animals and they are endangered species which have always been protected with Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Mountain gorillas are shy and gentle. Usually seeks no trouble unless harassed but will valiantly defend its family group if threatened. Family groups are close-knit and may have up to 30 members and even smaller, the group usually consists of at least one older male, one or more females and a few juveniles.
Uganda has developed its tourism sector through vigorously marketing its gorillas as the main tourism product of the country. However, there are many other attractions which Uganda has marketed to the outside and these include; The National Parks, Water bodies, cultural sites and city tours.
