Finally! The long awaited POATE is here. Today has officially marked the launching of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo in Uganda. At 10:00 AM, POATE was launched by Prof Ephraim Kamuntu is the minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities. The blastoff of POATE is taking place at Jubilee Gardens next to Kampala Sheraton Hotel. The expo will be running from 23rd February to 25th February.
Theme…
The theme that is running the Expo 2018 is “Rediscover the Pearl”. It is also going to base on protecting and conserving the big cats in Uganda. There is going to be a mini zoo at the Expo where the big cats will be the main attraction at the site. This is all curtesy of Uganda Wildlife Education Center.
Uganda tourism board has prepared to exhibit the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo(POATE) 2018 which will host over 200 people. This expo will have a full capacity of both local and international tourism businesses. POATE is aimed at creating an awareness and joining hands with international tour operators and interested internal sectors.
Uganda tourism expo is going to promote tourism attractions, tourism sites in Uganda to both local tourists and international travelers as well. POATE will bring together the East African regional countries, hoteliers, tour operators, new clients, tourism business partners and many others. Both local and international tourism businesses will be able to strike deals on how to boost the tourism sector in Uganda.
POATE is aimed at creating a stronger networking base for the tourism sector in Uganda. Many tourism operators are going to showcase their different packages to visitors in order to be able to attract more tourists to Uganda.
