National Parks of Rwanda are threatened ecosystems and wildlife reserves found in Rwanda in the east central Africa which has attracted many safaris in Rwanda. This is because of the effect of the genocide where National Parks were used as hiding places.These National Parks include
Volcanoes National Park
Volcanoes National Park has very many attractions and activities which enriches tourists experiences while on their safari visits to Rwanda. The National Park lies in northwestern Part of the country bordering Mgahinga National Park in Uganda and Virunga National park in Democratic Republic of Congo.
The National Park is the home for the endangered Mountain gorillas thus encouraging Gorilla Tracking Safaris. It is also a home for 8 volcanoes of the Virungi Mountains thus providing a beautiful scenery view for tourists.
Tracking gorillas in this National Park will also offer tourists an advantage to sight the Golden Monkeys, Birds plus other different primate species.
Akagera National Park
Akagera National Park is known for its diverse wild life habitats which are attracting very many Safaris to Uganda. It is found in eastern Rwanda bordering Tanzania. This National Park was established in 1934 in order to protect animals and its vegetation.
The wildlife in its ecosystem includes the giraffes, buffalo, baboons, zebras among others and therefore enriching visitors experiences while on their safaris in Rwanda. The park also has beautiful rolling hills of Brachystegia woodland and Acacia providing a beautiful scenery for tourists thus enriching their experiences.
Nyungwe Rain forest National Park
Nyungwe rainforest is known as haven for Chimpanzees. These are humans’ closest relative which offers unique experiences to tourists engaged in Chimp tracking.
Nyungwe rainforest also accommodates different species of primates, 275 species of birds, 1068 species of plant, 85 species of Mammals among others thus attacking a lot of safaris in Rwanda.
