Uganda prepare to host the restaurant week in Kampala – safari news

Ugandan local foodUganda a land gifted by nature kike it is popularly perceived has a range of interesting aspects that have lured counts of world travelers to plan safaris to Uganda. the diverse cultures, the big five and other wild game thriving in their natural habitats, the mountain gorillas which pose the ground for the gorilla trekking safaris in Uganda and other primates like Chimpanzees, sceneries of Rwenzori and Elgon mountains and the rift valley have made it a famous destination and a darling to those who have attempted to make their way to it.
However, its rich fertile soils in the verdant green landscapes present the ground for the production of organic food stuffs which have made the restaurants in the country to serve the best and healthy food ever. The mixture of nationalities that are ever increasing  have forced the restaurants to diversify the food types served and because of such, Kampala has become a multi- food choice center catering for the diverse clientele including those on safaris in Uganda.
The event that will run for twelve (12) weeks will see thirty (30) restaurants in Kampala city participate in the organized Kampala Restaurant Week which is the first ever in kampala. This will automatically give the opportunity to the connoisseurs to sample food of a range of ethnic denominations and backgrounds including Uganda safari undertakers.
The two options will be featured from the set menus and these will include the signature option and casual quick selection. Advance bookings are recommended so as to get a table at the preferred time. A range of restaurants set to participate in the culinary festival include; the lawns, Mediterraneo, Café Pap, Yujo Japanese, Il Patio Italian Restaurant, Tamarai, Makindye Country Club and the Bistro.
The visitors who will undertake a Uganda safari at the beginning of June will have diverse experience to talk about back home regarding the cuisines served in Uganda.
