Cheap accommodation at buhoma community rest camp in bwindi impenetrable national park – Uganda safari news
Buhoma in the north of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is the most popular region where gorilla trekking safaris in Uganda area always conducted. Gifted with three gorilla families of Mubare, Rushegura and Habinyanja, Buhoma sector was the first area to host the first travelers on Uganda gorilla safaris.
Because of this background, the sector has grown in popularity overtime making its accommodation on high demand and thus the prices increasing. However, amidst the rise, Buhoma Community Camp has provided a solution to low cost travelers.
Located at the entrance of the Buhoma sector at the main entry point of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Buhoma Community Rest Camp has affordable accommodation in form of bandas that have got private verandahs that present the travelers on a gorilla safari in Uganda with a remarkable view of the forest. The camp also has a camping provision and self-contained tents not forgetting the dormitory style accommodation. This kind of varied accommodation caters for the individual, couple and group travelers on Uganda gorilla trekking safaris and tours.
The Buhoma Community Rest Camp is a community run initiative thus sleeping there is one way of supporting the local people and at the same time indirectly contributing to mountain gorilla conservation as the local community continues to realize the significance of gorilla tourism. The responsible travelers find it rewarding to spend an overnight at this kind of facility with a community back ground so as to make their gorilla safaris to Uganda meaningful to the host community.
The Camp has good a bar and restaurant, laundry services, backup generator, re-charging facilities, electricity, public area, mosquito nets, masseuse among other facilities that would definitely make the travelers on safari in Uganda have a memorable experience.
