Diner en Blanc is a global event that comprises an all-white out door pop-up picnic. It is celebrated by over 15,000 people in various cities of the world. Rwanda – a re-known destination for gorilla safaris, chimpanzee trekking and wildlife safaris is proud to have been the pioneer of such great event in Africa in 2012 – something it has maintained for the three years now.
On 10th august 2014, Kigali now among the four African countries that celebrate this event opened the doors for over 585 people from round the world together with their fanfare alongside Mike Kayihura – Jazz Musician and DJ Pius. The participants were a cross section of neighboring Uganda, Burundi, DRC, Kenya, Ivory Coast United States and the Netherlands; some of which were on safari in Rwanda.
