After your breakfast, you will embark on the transfer from Kigali Airport / your hotel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After your early breakfast, you will be given packed lunch and enough water from your lodge and transfer to the gather at the respective park headquarters for briefing at 8:00 am and eventual start of the gorilla trekking adventure. After the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla group in groups of 8 people per Gorilla family then together with your ranger guides follow the trails of your respective gorilla family traversing the forest with is hilly forested landscapes to trek and search for the majestic great Apes. The Bwindi forest hills are densely forested with mature trees and dense undergrowth that have earned it the name Impenetrable. The Gorilla trekking activity to last usually lasts 2 – 8 hours inclusive of one (1) hour direct encounter with the gorillas once you find them, given to you to interact with and photographing them. Seeing the critically endangered Mountain Gorillas in Uganda`s Bwindi as they forage, socialize, the young gorillas rolling themselves on tree branches and the Silverback demonstrating his authority is a moment of wonder that derives remarkable excitement. After tracking the gorillas, you shall retreat from the forest back to the park headquarters for debriefing, receive your certificates from the head ranger of the group then after transfer back to Kigali driving through the fascinating landscapes of Kigezi Highlands dubbed the Switzerland of Africa and Rwanda hills that have earned her a dub as the land of a thousand hills and probably the most beautiful region in Africa!
