Day 1 of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari Bwindi with Lake Mburo Uganda wildlife safari ending in Kigali Rwanda: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, make a stop at Uganda Equator Kayabwe & an afternoon game drive or boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Optional Night game drive

Following breakfast from your place of stay in Kampala / Entebbe, transfer at 6:30am to Lake Mburo National Park 240km about 3 – 4 hours drive. A stop is made at Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for interesting photo shots and water experiments demonstrating the geographical separation of the northern and southern hemisphere. Proceed to the park for an afternoon game drive exploring the impressive savannah landscapes of the park with chances of spotting Impalas, Burchell’s Zebra, Buffaloes, Elands, defassa waterbucks, Bohor reedbuck, among others. The sunset views of the savannah are also rewarding. Alternatively, the afternoon can be allocated to a thrilling boat ride on Lake Mburo – the only lake in Uganda which is entirely within the National Park boundaries. The possible sights of Nile crocodile, Hippos, wild game drinking on the shores, birds such as African fish eagle, African fin foot among may be realized. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight. Lake Mburo National Park is one of the savannah parks where night game drives are carried out. Starting at 7pm, the night game drive offers chances of spotting nocturnal animals including; hare, Aardvack, porcupine, white-tailed mongoose, honey badger, bush pig, side – stripped jackal, spotted hyena, serval cat, civet, jenet cat, thick – tailed Galago and black galago.

Day 2 of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari Bwindi with Lake Mburo Uganda wildlife safari ending in Kigali Rwanda: Do game walking safari in Lake Mburo Np and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, lunch stop at Igongo Cultural Center en route

The game walking safari starts at 7am and lasts for 2 hours walking through the moist savannah landscapes in search of wild game. The beautiful wildlife species including Zebras, Impalas, warthogs, elands and water bucks among others are usually explored spread across the park. The sights of birds and the ancient Precambrian rocks believed to be over 500 years old would also make the encounter worthwhile. From the walking safari, proceed on the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A traditional lunch stop will be made at Igongo Cultural Centre and sightseeing experience of the countryside including villages and Kigezi Highlands will make the drive worthwhile.

Day 3 of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari Bwindi with Lake Mburo Uganda wildlife safari ending in Kigali Rwanda: Do Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an evening boat cruise and relaxation

Embark on the Mountain Gorilla Trekking experience at 8am at the respective park headquarter. You head to the mist covered forests of Bwindi after briefing to search for the Mountain Gorillas known to be critically endangered world over. In the company of the armed ranger guide, you traverse the rugged densely forested landscapes of Bwindi dubbed the Impenetrable.  At some sections, it can be too dark or thick that a machete has to be used to create a path.  Though the Mountain Gorilla trek duration is estimated at 2 – 8 hours, the actual gorilla viewing is limited to one hour for purposes of conservation.  Retreat from the activity and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi enjoying the amazing sceneries of Kigezi Highlands. You spend the evening at leisure on the beautiful shores of Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 4 of the 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Safari Bwindi with Lake Mburo Uganda wildlife safari ending in Kigali Rwanda: Relaxed breakfast, canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi & transfer to Kigali Rwanda

After a relaxed breakfast, you embark on a thrilling canoe ride on Lake Bunyonyi gaining sights of some of its 29 Islands; interact with local fishermen or the Islanders as they connect to and from the mainland. From the activity, embark on the transfer to Kigali Rwanda 196km about 4hours drive via Katuna boarder post. An evening flight back home can be arranged or a visit to the Kigali genocide memorial at Gisozi to explore the account of what transpired in the 1994 tragic genocide that hit Rwanda.
