Mountain gorillas are found in Uganda and specifically in Bwindi Impenetrable National park, which is the last strong hold of rare gorillas and a park with many bird species, it’s also located in the western Uganda, near the border of Congo and Rwanda, these mountain gorillas have greatly attracted many gorilla trekking safaris to Uganda.

Mountain gorillas are the most interesting primates since they share some characteristics like the human beings; they always spend most of their time feeding and sleeping in their nests. These characteristics have attracted many tourists to come for gorilla tracking safaris in Uganda, which has helped in raising then revenue of the tourism sector.

The main positive side of trekking is that it brings in enough money to convince the local people in protecting the national parks and the forests where these animals are found, for example in Uganda, the local communities which live near Bwindi Impenetrable National park, have greatly benefited from the gorilla safaris which are carried out in Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Many people who come to visit Uganda has come into contact with the mountain gorillas, and so these primates have become vulnerable to human beings, this has proved to be a problem since the animals have got human diseases which has affected the number of mountain gorillas hence affecting the mountain gorilla safaris to Uganda.

Mountain gorillas have contributed high revenues to the country, and this has helped in developing the tourism sector in Uganda and also increasing the revenues of the country, thus increasing gorilla visits to Uganda.
