During the 2017 Buganda tourism expo, Buganda was privileged to get a tourism ambassador who would represent the kingdom. Miss beauty Queen Maria Nakasiga was crowned miss Buganda tourism beauty. Miss Maria Nakasiga is an Information and Technology Graduate. The Buganda tourism beauty can decide to have a Uganda safari tour/Uganda safaris/ Uganda safari/ Congo gorilla safaris/ gorilla safari to Uganda in marvelous places.
The Buganda deputy tourism minister Rita Namyalo announced the victory of Miss Nakasiga. At the closure of the tourism expo which was graced by the Kabaka of Buganda, the beauty queen got the honors of being crowned by the Queen of Buganda. She also received a gift from the Buganda kingdom. Amazingly, the first runner-up and second runner-up got the privilege of being recognized.
Its so humbling that at the expo, there were many dance groups that participated. But the best dance groups were also recognized and applauded for their great efforts.
The Buganda tourism board also recognized totems, and counties that exceptionally performed to their best.
In miss Maria Nakasiga’s speech, she emphasized and vowed that she will always do her best to uphold the values of the Buganda kingdom and valuably promote them.
The Miss Buganda is supposed to initiate and commence on cultural promotional projects for the kingdom. She can also engage in awareness and charity projects that the kingdom can support as well.
We looking forward to seeing the next Miss Uganda Tourism Queen come 2018.
