Day 1 of the 5 Days Uganda Mount Elgon Climbing Tour – Sasa Trail: Transfer to Sipi Falls Area along Jinja road highway. Enjoy the views of the countryside and have the Sipi falls Hike
After breakfast at the hotel, after which you team with the driver guide to embark on the drive to Eastern Uganda at 7:00 am. You drive through Kampala following Jinja road 80km enjoying the early morning moist sights of the Lugazi sugar cane plantations, the Mabira Forest before arriving in Jinja town which is one of the major cosmopolitan towns in Uganda whose neighbourhoods shelters the historical source of the Nile River – the longest in the whole world. You continue on the drive for 39km to arrive in Iganga exploring the impressive sugar and Rice plantations and the natural swamps with flowing streams. The drive will take you to Mbale town 109km from Iganga and eventually, you proceed to Sipi falls 48km from Mbale. The journey can take you about 5 hours. Spend the afternoon enjoying the views of the falls.

Day 2 of the 5 Days Uganda Mount Elgon Climbing Tour – Sasa Trail: Hike from Budadiri for the hike to Sasa River Camp
Drive from Budadiri 7km to Bumasora 1770m – the starting point for the hike along with the required logistics, team up with the porter, cook, ranger guides and embark on the hike from trailhead up to the park boundary 2190m and then proceed up to Sasa Camp 2900m which will be the break for the day. Total GPS distance 6km 4 – 5 hrs.

Day 3 of the 5 Days Uganda Mount Elgon Climbing Tour – Sasa Trail: Climb from Sasa Camp to Mude Camp
Embark on the adventure exploration of this beautiful Volcanic Mountain that was once the highest in Africa by proceeding on the hike from Sasa Camp to Mude Camp 3500m. Total GPS distance 5.5km about 3 – 4 hours.

Day 4 of the 5 Days Uganda Mount Elgon Climbing Tour – Sasa Trail: Summit the Wagagai Peak, return to Mude or proceed to Sasa Camp
Proceed to summit Wagagai Peak 4321m above sea level – the highest point on Mount Elgon. Explore Jackson’s pool at 4050m along Wagagai route and if you have some energy, you can as well hike the Jackson’s summit at 4165m. Its 9km from Mude to Wagagai and then 9km returning which takes about 8 hours. The overnight can be spent at Mude Camp but if it’s still early, and you have some energy, you can slope to Sasa Camp.

Day 5 of the 5 Days Uganda Mount Elgon Climbing Tour – Sasa Trail: Slope down Budadiri & transfer to Entebbe.
Slope down back from Mude to Budadiri 11.5km about 6 – 7 hours and then embark on the drive back to Kampala / Entebbe
