Mr. Asiimwe’s Determination to Boost the Tourism Sector-Uganda safari News

baby gorillaMr. Steven Asimwe the new executive director of Uganda Tourism Board with a lot of confidence is determined to boost the tourism sector together with his board. He says he is going to double his efforts using all possible methods so as to have tourism as a major leading sector in Uganda. This has increased the number of tourists who come for safaris in Uganda since much effort is put in the sector.

The new director says he is willing to work with different kinds of people so as to boost tourism. People like tour operators, conservation department, different institutions, local people and many others. This has therefore helped people to be able to conserve the forested areas where different kinds of animals that attract tourists live. This has therefore made Uganda have a lot of tourists attractions hence more tours to Uganda.

Uganda has continued being the leading country in the tourism sector among all others East African countries including Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, DRC and many more. Therefore the governments together with the World Bank have decided to fund the sector. This has helped boost the tourism sector since there are more investments hence attracting more Uganda safaris. the tourism board has also gained support so as not to disappoint the government. This will also develop Uganda as a tourist destination.

Uganda has a lot of tourist attractions such as monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzee, different bird species and many others with in the National parks. There is River Nile which is also becoming the most tourists attraction after the gorillas. Others include crafts, culture, traditional dances and much more. All these have attracted many tourists as they come to safari Uganda hence developing the country.
