Day 1 of the 2 days Gorilla safari in Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kigali: Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you embark on the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park driving through impressive countryside landscapes of Rwanda with rolling hills that have formed the background of its naming as the land of a thousand hills. You are welcomed by the Virunga massif a chain of eight mountains that stretch from the Democratic Republic of Congo through Rwanda to Uganda including; Mount Nyamulagira, Nyiragongo, Mikeno, Karisimbi, Bisoke, Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura. You cross to Uganda and enjoy the other magical views of the Kigezi Highlands as you connect to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2 of the 2 days Gorilla safari in Uganda to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park from Kigali: Do gorilla trekking and transfer back to Kigali

You gather at the respective park headquarters after breakfast to catch up with the gorilla family allocation and briefing that commences at 8am. You are already dedicated to the gorilla trekking encounter this with your sun screen, the rain jacket, the insect repellant, sufficient water, the lunch box among other recommended items. You embark on the hike in the impenetrable forest in search of gorillas in the mist. You follow the set trails in the company of armed rangers and where the jungle necessitates simple clearance, the rangers have machete to sort it. You enjoy the hike through impressive steep slopes, deep valleys, crossing the streams, the views of the lush flora since Bwindi is one of the largest Afro montane forests in Africa not forgetting counts of birds that have earned the rank of the number one birding spot in Africa by the African bird club. You eventually come across the critically endangered mountain gorillas as they forage, the baby gorillas playing, the silverback demonstrating its might and the entire group distributed across the home range gathering as much they can to fill their gigantic berries. You have one full hour of direct encounter with them after which you retreat from the encounter that may last 2 – 8 hours depending on the day’s gorilla movement and then you transfer back to Kigali arriving in the evening to mark the end of the safari.
