The Etihad carrier gets a general manager for Uganda – Uganda safaris news
The Etihad Airways which is one of the carriers that are currently transporting travelers to Uganda including those on safaris to Uganda of recent secured a general Manager who will be heading its operations in Uganda.
Following the launch of the Etihad flights between Abu Dhabi and Entebbe International Air-Port on the May 1st 2015, the carrier is envisioning an expansive market in Uganda. Uganda is seen as a potential destination for various travelers among which would be interested in Uganda safaris and tours.
The new General Manager Toyin Alaran will be based in Kampala and will be charged with the duty of creating firm relationships with the key partners in the travel sector and the corporate clients in order to enhance the Etihad Airlines presence and operations in Uganda.
The recruited personnel is known to have twenty (24) years of experience in the travel industry working in various states of Africa including Nigeria and Ghana. His rich experience in the African Aviation industry would definitely help Etihad Airways to establish roots in Uganda and increase the clientele base. The Uganda safari undertakers are among the potential clients that would provide remarkable business.
The two class Airbus A320 Aircraft marked with sixteen (16) seats for Business class and 120 seats for the Economy class operate four (4) times a week between Entebbe and Abu Dhabi. This also provide convenient on ward connections to destinations of India, North Asia, Europe, Australia, South East Asia among others which are among the generating areas for people that plan safaris to Uganda.
