After this year’s launch of a single tourist visa among the regional states that is Rwanda, Uganda, and Kenya, Rwanda is now experiencing a foremost boost in the tourism sector. The chairperson of the Rwanda Hotels and Restaurants Association says though the report is good, it confronts the market players who have to position themselves to spout into the anticipated development in the tourism sector. This will help the tour operators to work hard so as to change with the development in their sector hence raising the number of people coming for safaris in Rwanda.
The Rwanda Eco-tours country manager said there is need to support, market and build competence in the sector since it is capable of increasing the economic growth of Rwanda in case there is more commitment and investments in the sector. This will help increase more employment opportunities to people and the revenue of the country which is used for infrastructural developments like roads hence providing easy transport to the people coming for tours in Rwanda.
Rwanda tourism sector will be contributing about 15% of the Gross domestic product by the coming years. It was considered among the top 10 in the world for good and convenient travels and it was given the sixth position among the best world travel guide. The sector is also the main foreign exchange earner in Rwanda. Through this there is much money to invest in the sector hence promoting more Rwanda safaris.
The Rwanda Development Board communications manager said they are working together with the stakeholders so as to not only attract tourists to Rwanda but also make them like the country, stay safe, live there for long and also desire to back again. This will help promote more safari visits in Rwanda since tourists will always be happy, safe and secure as they come for Rwanda safaris.
