The tourism industry of Uganda is considered to be the highest income earner to the country; however, the World Bank has urged Uganda to speed up its marketing in order to boost the economy and also to increase Uganda safaris.
Promoting the country’s image abroad is so important since it will enhance more investors to come to Uganda to invest in the tourism industry , this will help to increase the number of tourists who come to Uganda for safaris and also improving the tourism sector in the country.
Uganda has got many tourism potentials which have not been exploited and this has retarded the growth of the tourism sector in the country, these potentials include; marine tourism , fishing tourism and many more , there are many visitors who would want to come for safaris in Uganda.
The tourism sector around the world, has generated high revenues to different countries, this is similar to the tourism industry of Uganda since it has generated a great deal of funds to the country and also has helped in increasing safari tours to the country and also developing the tourism sector.
However, Uganda’s key constraints to tourism include poor physical connectivity to tourist sites, inadequate tourist information, and low levels of ICT provision of tourist services, and inadequate specialized human resources for the hospitality industry. This has greatly affected safari visits to Uganda.
