Uganda Wildlife Safari 4 days to Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park is a typical exploration of the magical savannah game. The two destinations all located in the south west are easily accessed and the road connection is favorable.  The Safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park gazetted in the year 1952 and considered one of the rich wildlife habitats in Uganda. The Park features four of the big five including the leopards, the lions, the Cape Buffaloes and the African Elephant. Other wildlife include the spotted hyenas, side stripped jackal, the Deffasa water buck and the Uganda Kob. The stretch of the 45km long Kazinga Channel features Nile crocodiles the second largest reptiles on a global, the great concentration of Hippos along with Water birds. The Park supports over 600 bird species which makes it the first in Uganda and East Africa and the second on the African continent. The extension to the Katwe Explosion Crater offers impressive views of the remains of Volcanic forces that hit the region. The 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari also takes you to Lake Mburo National Park offering you a historical tour to the 1520 AD Eclipse monument, the cultural encounter at Igongo Cultural Center and the wild game experience in Lake Mburo National Park where stand chances of exploring the Burchell’s Zebra, the Impala, the Roths Child Giraffes and the Topis. It is a magical encounter to explore the wild game on foot.

Drive early morning towards the west from Kampala and have a stopover at the equator for photographs, Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. Have lunch en route at Igongo Cultural Center. A game drive in the evening may reward you with views of Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species such as Kobs and Waterbucks. Retire for dinner and overnight

An early morning game drive in this park provides excellent opportunities to encounter Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many more. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 60 resident species along the channel which are part of the greater 600 Species that are resident in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon returning from the boat activity, embark on the drive through the Katwe Crater field with amazing views of the Crater lakes and the Katwe salt lake where the enclave communities have made a fortune for centuries past. Explore their salt formation and extraction process. The Crater region is also a darling for elephants and olive baboons. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 3 of the 4 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari tour to Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Parks: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Hike the Rwenjeru Hill to tour the 1520 AD Eclipse monument, visit the Erijukiro Museum & lunch at Igongo Cultural Center en route & do an evening boat trip on Lake Mburo

After Breakfast, drive to L. Mburo NP 180km about 3 hours’ drive. You drive through impressive crater field of Bunyaruguru with good scenic views before approaching Mbarara town – the largest in the sub region to explore the life of the local Ugandans and how they figure out with all sorts of businesses. You proceed to branch off at Biharwe where you can get out of your vehicles and undertake a hill climbing adventure upon reaching the top; you enjoy the beautiful design of the 1520AD eclipse Monument which do not only commemorate the total solar eclipse but also the repossession of cows among the Banyankole since the eclipse forced the King of Bunyoro and his men to abandon the cows they had raided from Rwanda at the site. Banyankole thought after the eclipse that the cows had fell from heaven and named them “enduga mwiguru”. It was a great moment for them since they had suffered from serious starvation following the raid of their cattle by the King of Bunyoro. You proceed to Igongo Cultural Center for the tour to the cultural museum that feature collections of the tribes of south western Uganda, the sculptures of historical people and cow before settling for lunch at its remarkable Kahwa Kanuzire restaurant. Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park 33km from Igongo, enter through Nshaara gate and connect to Lake Mburo for an afternoon boat cruise where you have opportunity to explore counts of Hippos and Nile crocodiles. The views of the white crested African fish eagle along with other birds may not be missed. Retire for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Following a cup of coffee, you embark on the game walking safari exploring the impressive savannah landscapes of Lake Mburo National Park at the sun rise exploring the moist vegetation dotted with counts of wild game as they set out to graze. You have possibilities of exploring Burchell’s Zebras, Deffasa Waterbucks, Cape Buffaloes, Topis, the Elands, Rothschild giraffes, the wart hogs, bush bucks and Leopards along with a range of bird species including the Red faced Barbet that is endemic in Lake Mburo National Park on Uganda Standards. Retreat from the encounter and embark on the transfer back to Kampala 240km about 3 – 4 hours’ drive arriving in the afternoon to mark the end of the tour.
