TOURISM SONG LAUNCHED IN UGANDA – UGANDA SAFARI NEWS

Tourism is so far the chief export earner for Uganda after beating the remittances from abroad and coffee in the last financial year 2013/2014. Uganda has got a rich tourism base that provide wide range of attractions and tourist activities such as the gorilla trekking safaris in Uganda , Uganda Chimpanzee trekking safaris among others. Thus, it’s against this background that the government has earmarked tourism as one of the priority sectors that can help in realizing economic transformation of Uganda.
On October 31st, 2014 the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) an institution that is charged with the responsibility of protecting Uganda’s wildlife which is one of the prime Uganda safari products and ensuring its sustainable use launched a new conservation song at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel named Follow Me To Uganda. The audience which was comprised of various stakeholders ranging from conservationists, Makerere University Tourism Students, tour operators alongside other special guests like Elly Karuhanga – the Chairman of Uganda Chamber of Mines and Petroleum was in an enchanting mood set to welcome the new tourism song that would help to raise awareness about Uganda and eventually increase Uganda safari tours.
The tourism song a production of Patrick Musasizi commonly known as Choose Blood opens in a tube-fiddle and features a range of products that are always encountered by travellers on Uganda safari holidays ranging from the arrival at Entebbe to the source of the Nile, Equator crossing at Kayabwe and Uganda’s national parks. This innovation is seen as a perfect ground that would help to increase safaris to Uganda.
