Day 1 of the 8 Days Uganda Safari Tour: Transfer from Kampala to Fort Portal, visit a tea plantation on the way

After breakfast at your hotel in Kampala at 7 am, you embark on the drive to Fort Portal Area 300km about 5 – 6 hours’ drive. You will drive through impressive scenic landscapes on smooth tarmac viewing the unique geographical features including the Mubende Inselbergs not forgetting the small towns en route including Mpigi, Mityana, Mubende and Kyenjojo. You are welcomed by the extensive lush tea estates as you approach Fort portal town. The green tea plantation is spread over a beautiful undulating landscape with endless scenic views which makes it ideal to do sightseeing on your safari. You can opt for a cycling encounter and explore the tea plantation on bikes.  Proceed to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 2 of the 8 Days Uganda Safari Tour: Relaxed breakfast & transfer to Queen Elizabeth Np for afternoon Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge

After a relaxed breakfast, embark on the transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park 135km about 2 – 3 hours’ drive enjoying the scenic views en route including the fascinating Rwenzori Mountains.  The afternoon is dedicated for Chimp trek in Kyambura gorge. The Kyambura gorge also famously known as the valley of apes is 100m deep with a lush tropical forest thriving below sea level that supports the only populations of Chimpanzees in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The impressive steep landscapes of the gorge present a challenging hike that is worth exploring on top of the chimpanzee viewing experience. The activity starts at 2 pm and takes about 2 – 5 hours inclusive of one hour of direct encounter with chimps. Retreat from the activity and connect to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 3 of the 8 Days Uganda Safari Tour: Do Morning game drive in Kasenyi sector & an afternoon Kazinga Channel boat cruise

After breakfast at 6am, drive to the savannah landscapes of Queen Elizabeth Park for a 3 – 4 hour morning game drive exploring the park’s rolling savannah landscapes dotted with counts of wild game including the big four of the big five like lions, leopards, buffaloes and elephants, antelope species like waterbucks, Kobs, bushbucks among others, jackals among other wild game. The stretch to Kasenyi and the Mweya peninsular offers you the best of these. You settle for lunch at Tembo restaurant in the Mweya peninsular after which you gather at the Mweya jetty to embark on a thrilling boat cruise on the 45km long Kazinga Channel. The cruise takes 2 hours with possibilities of encountering the aquatic species such as Nile Crocodiles and Hippos not forgetting other wild game that tends to congregate on the channel shores to consume water.  Retreat from the activity and do a game drive along the channel track with in the Mweya peninsular to explore more game. Day 4 of the 8 Days Uganda Safari Tour: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & do a game drive en route in Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions

After breakfast, embark on the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park 309km about 8 – 10 hours driving through the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park Uganda named Ishasha well known for its tree-climbing lions. The Ishasha sector presents a remarkable encounter with the unique tree-climbing lions which are only existing in two spots in the whole world with the Ishasha sector having the best viewing opportunities. You continue on the drive to Bwindi Forest National Park arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight

Day 5 of the 8 Days Uganda Safari Tour: Do Mountain Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Mountain Gorilla Trekking

After your early morning breakfast, transfer to the starting point for briefing before embarking on the Mountain Gorilla search inside the impenetrable Bwindi forest. Please carry along with you drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots and the walking stick for extra support if you need. Gorilla trekking is one of the highlights of all safaris to Uganda or tours Uganda that involve trekking gorillas and an exciting but a little tiresome activity you will enjoy in the Bwindi Tropical Rain forest. During the Uganda gorilla trek safari, you are allowed to interact with and take photographs of the gorillas for only an hour while maintaining the 7m distance. Right After tracking connect to the starting point and embark on the scenic journey to Kabale through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. You will undertake a sunset motorised canoe ride on the lake exploring its remarkable scenery before retiring for dinner and overnight.
