Detailed Itinerary

This tour will start by visiting the magnificent Murchison falls and then proceed to Kibale National Park for Chimpanzee tracking, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive and aboat cruise. Then you will proceed to Bwindi impenetrable National Park for Gorilla tracking safari which takes between 1 to 2 hours .After transfer to Rwanda for more Gorilla tracking in park volcano. Then proceed to Lake Mburo national park for a game drive and the safari will end with a Nile adventure tour.

DAY 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning after breakfast transfer northwards to Murchison via Budongo forest with a lunch stop-over in Masindi. You will arrive in the Albertine Rift valley at the top of the falls in the late afternoon a time at which the Nile River’s looks splendid and spectacular especially the point at which this river compresses and squeezes itself from over a kilometer wide down through a 6-meter gorge creating a thunderous roar. This is the most powerful natural surge of water found anywhere in the world. By a ferry you will Cross to Pakuba Game Lodge or Murchison River Lodge (mid-range) for your dinner and overnight (FB) /Red chilli(budget)

DAY 2: Game drive in Murchison Falls NP
Early morning you will have a game drive on the northern bank. The delta area is gifted with abundant wildlife such as buffalo, lions, hyenas, elephants, cape Harte beasts, Rothschild giraffes, bush bucks, bohor reed bucks, oribi, water bucks, and if lucky  leopards. Return to the lodge for your late breakfast and have rest. Right after your lunch, embark on a boat cruise up the stream of the Victoria Nile and to the base of the falls. On this 17-kilometer cruise you will see the wonderful crocodiles, hippos, elephants, waterbucks and Uganda Kobs. Blessed with a variety of bird species such as the pelican bee-eaters, egyptian geese, Hornbills, goliath herons, the rare shoebill, stork kingfishers and cormorants. You will dinner and have your second overnight at Pakuba Game Lodge or Murchison River Lodge (midrange) /Red chilli(budget)for your dinner and overnight (FB)

DAY 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast traverse the Albertine Escarpment and the lush countryside, traditional farms and homesteads arriving in Fort Portal in the aftenoon for a late lunch. Dinner and overnight at chimpanzee forest guest house (midrange)/ Kibale forest camp (budget)

DAY 4: Chimpanzee Tracking
Early morning after breakfast drive to Kanyanchu, Kibale Park Headquarters, before 8.00 am for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale forest harbours other primates including the Red-tailed and grey-cheeked Mangabeys, phoestes, Blue and Red-Colobuses in adition to chimps, never the less the many beautiful birds species, butterflies plus many small insects as well. A visit to Bigodi swamp eco-tourism site given its astounding flora and fauna will be a time worth adventure too. You will return to the lodge for lunch and later on your dinner and overnight chimpanzee forest guest house (midrange)/ Kibale forest camp(budget)


DAY 5
: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
After your early morning breakfast you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park-    a trip that may take you approximately 3 hours. Your lunch shall be taken at Mweya Safari Lodge .Embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon, between Lakes Edward and George. In addition to the great variety of wildlife, the Channel has a great number of water birds.

You will go back to Enganzi Game Lodge (midrange)C for your dinner and overnight

DAY 6: Wildlife Viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning before breakfast you will embark on a morning game drive in search of predators such as leopards, lions, jackals, and hyenas. You will return to the lodge for breakfast then transfer to Kyambura Game Reserve for more chimpanzees trekking plus a forest walk in Maramagambo forest.

You will have your Dinner and overnight at Enganzi Game Lodge (midrange)

DAY 7:Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha for tree-climbing lions
After a morning cup of coffee embark on a game drive along Kasenyi track and Queens mile along which you are assured of seeing gigantic Elephants, leopards, cape buffalo, Lions, Warthogs, hyena, waterbucks mangorose, and lots of many small animals and birds species. After the game drive you will start you to Bwindi NP through Maramagambo and Ishasha sector hoping to the famous tree-climbing lions. You will arrive in the evening at Bwindi national park.

Your dinner and overnight shall be at Silver Back Lodge / Gorilla Mist Camp Nkuringo Gorilla camp (midrange)Kibale forest camp(budget)

DAY 8 : Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early morning breakfast but with packed lunch, you will have a briefing by the game guides at the park headquarters then start your gorilla trek. Encountering the mountain gorillas in their natural environment takes is cumbersome and takes between 2-9 hrs but nonce found it is the highlight of an Africa adventure safari. You will have only 1 hr to observe, interact with and photograph these calm lovely apes.

Your dinner and overnight shall be at Silver Back Lodge (midrange)/ Gorilla Mist Camp Nkuringo Gorilla camp(midrange)

DAY 9 : Transfer to Rwanda via Kibale highlands-’the Switzerland of Africa’
After breakfast you shall transfer to Rwanda via the magnificent Kigezi highlands usually referred to as the ‘ Switzerland of Africa‘ and cross the Uganda – Rwanda border to Ruhengeri.

Your evening shall be spent visiting the Burera and Ruhondo twin lakes for a boat drive and interacting with the local community. Or resting in preparation for the gorilla trek in the Volcanoes the following morning.

You will dine and have you overnight at La palme lodge (mid-range)/Muhabura Hotel (Budget)

DAY 10: Gorilla tracking in Volcano national park .

You will spend part of your day tracking mountain gorillas in Volcano national park and in the afternoon cross back to Uganda and spend your night at Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 11: Transfer to Lake Mburo
After breakfast early in the morning, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with lunch en route in Mbarara, after which you proceed and enter the park through Nshara Gate. Dinner and overnight shall be at Arcadia Cottages (midrange) Rwonyo Camp (Budget)

DAY 12: Game Drive in Lake Mburo national park
After breakfast you will embark on a game drive but in some areas have a guided nature walk. The morning game drive will take you along the lakeshore track, through the “Kigambira Loop” that offers interesting guided lakeside walks. You certainly will see herds of zebra, cape buffaloes, oribi and topi, eland. With over 250 species such as the Papyrus Gonoleks, Brown-faced Lapwings, Bare-faced Go-away bird, the extraordinary White-winged Warbler plus Carruther’s Cisticolas, Bird watches will have a great adventure.

After lunch you shall drive back to Kampala to Cassia lodge/ The Lodge Kampala for your overnight.

DAY 13: The Source of the Nile Adventure
After your breakfast transfer to Jinja via Mabira forest Proceed Mabira forest Eco center for a mini forest guided walk where you will see some birds and primates among the hue buttress rooted trees endemic to Uganda. You will proceed to Bujagali Falls and enjoy optional white water rafting and bungee jumping and in evening drive to get to the Source of the Nile the later enjoy the Jinja town tour  on your return to Kampala.

If you are good to fly out of Uganda your guide/driver shall transfer you direct to Entebbe International Airport but if not to to Cassia lodge/ The Lodge Kampala for your overnight.
