The tourist attractions in Uganda need to be improved in order to attract more tourists to safari to Uganda. Attractions like the source of the Nile, water rafting areas, and the Bishop Hannington’s site of execution need to be improved in order to increase Uganda safari activities/options.
Most Uganda safari opportunities can be developed from Farming, ICT, opening factories and services like transporting or tour guiding. This was said during the launch of a campaign, `Brighten up your city’ aimed at having 60 shops in Jinja Municipality in the next thirty years.
More so, tourism can be developed through encouraging the development of five star hotels, Crafts, entertainment and reliable transport services to make the entire chain of the Uganda safaris services efficient. This is because political jobs are not reliable in the country.
The speaker of Parliament, Hon. Rebecca Kadaga Balintuma also recommended that government should upgrade the existing Jinja strip into an airport in order to reduce time spent, by tourists that undertake visit Uganda on various Uganda safaris such as Gorilla trekking in Bwindi, the River Nile tours, Uganda cultural tours and the general Wild life safaris in Uganda jungles and the business fraternity in transit.
The Uganda central government should be in position to provide financial support to the local government in order to improve the source of the Nile to international standards so as to attract more tourists to Uganda hence increasing safaris to Uganda. This will in turn create more jobs and increase the general revenue of the entire Uganda hence improving lively hood in the country which boost development.
